- Near Glacier Lake in the Mission Mountains is another decent sized lake just above it. It is a very busy lake, very popular, cascade like vibes. It is beautiful though. The weather wasn't the best, but there wasn't much we can do about that!

The Missons just went up a notch on the priority list! Looked like stunning views, and of course a little blue sky on the way out just to rub it in. 😀
Great video Andrew. One last story to tell with your SONY before it kicked the bucket. Loved the zoom out shot with the little goat walking up the slabs. Despite the rain and weather, I had a great time just sitting around camp and relaxing. This trip helped a lot.
Awesome filming and beautiful scenery! Thank you so much for sharing!
Wow is that pretty country, great shots, I hike like the sheep
Enjoyed the views you gave us, despite the weather.
Great video. Epic place. Actually, I think the weather was perfect! Thanks for the look.

Beautiful! Probably my favorite area in the Missions.
Thank you for this video. Great trek!
You win some and lose some. The way of the mountain. Good video, regardless.
the rockies have been giving the backpackers a good whoopin this june that's for sure. thanks brian
Beautiful area! Nice video
Nice video! Nice shots of the animals. Grand beautiful campsite backdrop of Turquoise Lake and the mountains. Rain on a backpacking adventure is like rain on a parade haha. Didn't Lacey bring her fishing pole?
thank you! Yes she did, no luck on this trip!
Been a lot of cold rain here in Montana the past 2-3 weeks. Shut down the fishing. May try for Turquoise lake in mid August when I'll be up at Seeley Lake. Looks like a steep, rocky shoreline. Did you see many camp spots?
there were a few in a few cliff bands, not too many. Surprisingly popular place, not what I'm used to, was gonna talk about it in the video but didn't want to have any negativity in it, almost felt like the cascades in Washington. I'm sure once you go off trail (in the Missions) it gets lonely and remote, honestly the neighboring lakes (Lace, Lagoon and Jewell) all looked to have better fishing opportunity then the wind swept turquoise. I can take a hearty guess and say Heart and Island Lake which branch of the same trail would have great fishing as well.
@@NorthwestWandererHeart Lake looked fishless in early July 2024, and the lake below had fish.
Varied Thrush singing at the beginning.
Also Pale swallowtail butterfly.
You now know why so many lakes in the Missions.
