    Hey Anastasia and Anna,
Bingeing your videos and learning so much!
If I may offer some suggestions for future videos:
    1. Life in Vancouver (maybe as compared to life in Toronto)
    2. Is it possible to live in Montreal as a fluent English speaker but not French, particularly when working a job that is not directly customer-facing, such as tech?
    3. Public transportation in Canada, with possible focus on specific cities, and how realistic it is to live without a car
    4. Buying a car in Canada, and options for driving a car without buying one outright
    5. Process of switching from an international driver's license to a Canadian one
    6. Books that give you a taste of Canadian life - may be non-fiction or not
    7. A walk-through of a Service Canada center, possibly with a staff member, to get a taste of the services they provide
    8. A walk-through of a public library, and the available facilities besides book borrowing. This is particularly important when new immigrants are on a limited budget
    9. You mentioned FB groups where people help settle new immigrants. An interview with a volunteer at the group would be great
    Thanks again!

The passport that I used to travel with in my first two years in Canada expired already in order for me travel in the Philippines for vacation I renewed it and discarded. - letters from employer
      - signed lease
      - bill payments (utility, etc)

It appears that this profession is very niche with not many employers hiring for this in Canada. I’m afraid your opportunities will be limited if you stick to this profession. We recommend you consider academia( teaching or research) or expanding your area of expertise.

Software engineering is in a great demand and there’s lots of competition for senior engineers. It’s harder to land an entry level role as a newcomer.

Microbiology vs BBA which will be better in Canada?

    • @MakeThatChange
      @MakeThatChange  Рік тому

These two are very different, it mainly depends on your talents and interests. BBA is a very broad degree, so it’s hard to tell - what do you want to do if you get BBA?
As for microbiology - there aren’t as many opportunities as with BBA, but most are likely better paid than many BBA career paths. If you’re more into academia or medicine, then microbiology is a great choice

I’ve heard that university of Toronto and university of British Columbia have a strong biotech discipline. As for jobs, there are generally not many (compared to many other jobs), so we cannot speak to how least or hard it will be to get a job in the field.

Having a CPA would definitely boost your chances of getting a job, however, a certificate alone will not guarantee you a job. You would still need to smartly craft your resume, apply for the job that fit your experience the most, and network to increase your chances.
