In Norwegian the word for idling is tomgang, probably just a coincidence but still a verry fitting coincidence 🙂

@@TheRepairSpecialist we also have the related word Tomgangskjøring which is made of the words Tomgang (idling) and Kjøring (driving).. If you translate the two words that "tomgangskjøring" is made up of, you would get Idling-driving, an oxymoron i belive the term is 😃
Tomgangskjøring is when you leave the engine of a motor vehicle idling/running with the transmission disengaged from the engine while you are parked, and it is (at least in Norway) illegal.. as far a I understand this law against tomgangskjøring does not apply to outdoor power equipment.

I've never seen the letter T on a chainsaw, but if I do, I'll stick to throttle.
Question, why did small engine mechanics stop working on small engines? I decided to take my collection of saws, trimmer, and backpack to be tuned and serviced for the season. All of the local shops told me "No we don't work on that" with the variant of tool or brand being the excuse.
Because the minimum cost of the labor is now more than the replacement cost of the item. Many customers don't want to pay 100 dollars for an hour of labor plus parts when you can get a new saw delivered for under $100.
