Imagine being a enemy from a duo encounter, you re chilling a suddenly you see a kid facing 2 ways at the same time,he finds you and kills your teammate and starts having a seizure while succesfully dodging all your attacks
@@bananafire A tool-assisted speedrun, or tool-assisted superplay, is generally defined as speedrunning an emulated or modified video game with the goal of creating a theoretically perfect playthrough. A TAS is created by a person who can use tools to perform impressive feats in a video game
So I don't really keep up with Undertale speedruns, what is the punch card and how does it allow you to just destroy all this text and cutscenes and stuff?
when you use the punch card, there's 1 frame of full movement between using it from the menu and it actually popping up, so you can use that to activate cutscenes and open the punch card at the same time. when you close the punch card, you get your movement back, so you can just walk past cutscenes and stuff
make sure to hold and arrow key against a wall, release the arrow keys once you use the punch card, and close the punch card before entering the next room
Sparing random encounters is fine. Important is that you kill a certain number of monsters in an area until the encounter message says "but nobody came". But if you would spare a monster that is not optional like bosses for example your Genocide run would be over and you would be back in Neutral.
