When it comes to difficult jumps pop a buffjet, psychojet, or just a jet. When you slow time you really can get some long ass jumps in

Who needs to jump when your X-01 Power Armor has a Jetpack
Anyone who didn't side with the brotherhood and isn't level 42 yet.

npc92 Siding with the brotherhood in the main story gets you a jetpack for the T-60 power armor. Otherwise though, you have to craft the mod yourself, which you can't do until at least around level 42.
+Gorillabot3000 well you could do it at lvl 10 if you distributed your points appropriately
I think this was a never finished domicile. Infront of the little door you need to jump over to get access, there is a welcome mat. Some welcome mat you use for fast traveling in your other bases. There is also a frame for your Power Armor and a bed to sleep as I said like little domicile.

2:15if you don't jump over that fence and just keep walking for like a second, you will come to the end of the building, turn the corner and jump over the rusty green fence onto the roof below, you will notice the map glitch, keep walking down the roof it will cut to loading menu, and when fully loaded you will find yourself inside the gates of diamond city market ,it just happened to me 😂😂 shortcut to the ground at least .

Pro Tip:
Use psycho or jet to slow down time and roughly double your jump length distance. (But not height)

When you get to the actual top of the roof, just to the right behind the boiler looking machine there is a stretch that runs along the side with a few pipes that you can get to. If you go over there and crouch with the stretch on your right and back up, it'll glitch and you will be able to fall down on to the stretch. Move to the left a little bit and you'll be there. Then go down and you'll find more ammo. This is the area opposite side of the hidden room where you mentioned that can jump into Diamond City. There will be a set of stairs that lead to nothing off on the side.
Good tip use jet when making large jumps nearly doubles the distance you can jump.

Here's a tip: If you're having trouble with jumps, then get the jetpack for the power armor! It'll use up your fusion core and action points, but it will help.

for a game with jet packs there are a lot of glitches that make me think jet packs were a late addition after all if you were designing the wasteland and jet packs were known would some thought into high jet pack areas not be planned also no freefall legs for me when I got into the mass fusion secret room...
+Lunas Eclipse They might have weighed the potential problems with the fun of having a jetpack and just said fuck it use at your own risk.
But if you look at the verticality of this game compared to other fallouts it seems like they had the idea in mind for a while.
I donno I have been playing around with a mod that gives it flight ability and aside from a few areas they really did not plan anyone to be able to do more than jump with it. It just seems so random where they planned for it vs where it is all not even finished from that angle there are parts of the game that straight up disappear if you go too high some of those are accessible with the stock jetpack. But then you will go somewhere like the mass fusion building where if you have a pack there is a series of secret rooms with a chance to spawn legendary combat armor.
I just think halfway into level design phase they remembered the jet pack mod or added it. So about 70% of the game is setup not to be seen by the jet pack in unlimited mode and rather than delay the game another year for the jet pack compatible map they put shitty limits on the jet pack threw in a handful of areas jump pack accessible and then used it to hype the game more.
IMHO without mods the jump pack sucks. They are not useful to fire while airborne you fall much too fast to aim and vats is disabled while airborne. The cost of using it for what they give you is immense huge fusion core drain and fast ap drain on use limit of jump height even if you have ap left for thrust. What I would like is the ability to toss it into hover mode to use as an aerial firing platform. The ap use could be lowered or eliminated the core drain reduced overall but all cores are only 20% capacity remaining you would need a series of crafting feats to make new ones that are full charge. Remember all of the cores are over 200 years old are you going to tell me running robots or power generators for 200 years is not going to deplete the capacity at all? And I doubt in battle getting out dropping a new one in was an option for viable power armor a fusion core would need to last a great deal of time not just a few minutes of operation...
Lunas Eclipse I agree that there should be a hover mode. It seems as if they could not decide between a jump boost or a jetpack so they tried to find a compromise to get the best of both worlds but got the worst instead. If there were a jump jet and a jetpack that would have been much better because the current one is too short lived to be a hovering tool and doesn't boost fast or far enough to be a jump jet.

Another video I saw said that you could get on a roof and have power armor on with a jet pack and fly through. But this tutorial was great too! :)
if you go on top of the diamond city gate thingy you can look at the yellow bars holding the gate to clase and open it, unfortunately you can't really close it, but you can open it and it will teleport to closed animation opening.
Love the vid, you missed a secret extension at the end though, i found an explosive box and duffle bag :) wish i was a vid maker i would show you, i'll try and explain thou, when u reach the top go to the side where it looks like a water tank, on the back edge jump across a tin roof until you cant go no further jump down and look around for the loot.

There's more to it along with more loot when you get to the top of the secret room when you first jump up if you go left there's a wall you can walk right through and land of a floor below go left out of there and fallow the path at the end there's more loot

I actually got randomly glitched up here while randomly walking around the Commonwealth. I just lagged really badly and poof. I remember the skeleton and teddy bear, too bad I didn't know about that secret room at the time!
if you jump on the ledg by the other side of the building with that metal piece there's a barrier but if you go close to the wall you fall thorough and you could explore the other area or get under dimond city
huh wonder what happens if you don't go talk with piper to get in at the start of the quest and just jump in like that? only one way to find out

If you skip the door opening (there is multiple ways, best one is getting Valentine b4 going into diamond city) Piper is just arguing with Major inside..
(+ there is some unique lines with Valentine, since you found him before you were given quest or anybody told you where to look for him & who he was)

brb ganna go exploring hahaha. but hey man quick tip, i feel like you're using Sony Vegas to edit, so if you are I would recommend you disable resampling. You can do that by clicking only your video in the timeline, right click the clip, go down to switches and click "disable resampling" and you have to do that for all your clips if you have them cut up, so I also recommend disabling it right when you drag your video onto the timeline. unless you're going for that look then that's different and the video is great either way hahaha!

i have been to this room and if you want my advice just get you power armor and get jet pace makes it alot easer

you're right they put that there for us to find but I think the intended method would more likely be to equip your armour suit with a jet pack as that seems alot of effort for one mini nuke but still you found it without a jetpack wich is feat
If you go around the vat tank thing right when you jump up to get on the roof part where you say there is nothing, there is more ammo :)
Also, I used a jet to jump to a building across the street where I saw a blood splatter on the roof and there was a bag with gun and then I went to the left hopping on rooftops till I found a dead raider with a pretty solid sniper rifle. I don’t think you can reach these any other way.

the area where you can get on top if you go left along the ledge there is a box of explosives and a duffle with ammo in it. you just have to jump around a pipe
you can use the small trash cans to go up a wall, if you "pick up" one an walk backwards to a corner where you want to go up you look straight down while holdin the can an walk backwards an it pushes ya up the wall
1:10 reminded me of how you used to get to that platform on the Crossfire map of Call of Duty 4. lol

It's the history Vault left with pre war antique's and shit protected by a million fucking lasers and shit ... I'm not sure where it is on the map. Sorry ....

If you jump on to the front of the ballpark by that huge gate that opens up when you first get there you can look at the yellow support beam and open and close it!
Just a heads up, if you cannot make some of these jumps, you can use the drug Jet to get across. It slows down time for 10 seconds but also increases your jump distance making all these jumps child's play.

Just when you got to the top and thought there was no more stuff you were incorrect, there is more ammo to the north from the spot you used to get to the top, its a bit of a struggle to get to as you need to glitch threw that ledge on the building

It has a ledge for Tinkertoms weather monitor so you'll come across it if you do the side quests
If you get onto the second roof there's a crane or something to diamond city you can open
on top of the roof of the area with the ammo boxes is a crane called "Diamond city" And you can use it
There's also a mod that let's you take an elevator up there, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it's called
