  • So, managed to break what I believe is my SLD (spike load dampener, which is designed to absorb some of the power and stress going in to the rear differential. Bit of a stupid design, if you ask me. More on that later.) and starter gear in one day.
This video is mainly to help you check it and to change your idler gear, if necessary(gear connecting to starter).
Tools you need are pretty basic...
    - drain pan
    - ratchet
    - extension
    - 19mm socket for drain plug
    - T30 Torx for stator/engine cover
    - Wobbler/universal adapter
    - Maybe flat screwdriver for loosening the cover(be careful not to mess up the gasket)
The exhaust will be in the way to remove the cover fully, but you should be able to get it off and twist it far enough.
    1. Drain the oil
    2. Remove cover bolts
    3. Carefully pull the cover off
    4. Check your gears, and be careful not to drop/lose any. Some might stay in the cover
    5. Reverse steps
    About the rear differential...
I thought I blew the differential, but its likely the SLD. They're known to fail and cause this issue. You can test if it's in your rear differential easily. If it goes through all the gears fine, and its gear oil that came out, and it pulls fine with the front tires in 4wd, but not well with the rears in 2wd, it's gotta be in the rear differential.
You can delete SLD, or replace it. I'm going to delete. Google Wildcat SLD delete.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask
    May God bless you...

The kit comes with both the starter and gear. The updated starter has a course gear so it has to have a different driven gear to mate with.

You also need to change the one way Bearing that’s what takes out the gear

I do not, but Country Cat just emailed they're back in stock. But reinforce your cases. If you don't, you're better off getting the original one. Not worth breaking a case, in my opinion
