When will the next tech talk be? Id be interested in a series covering things like what mods stock fuel systems support. Such as camshafts with a stock fuel lobe with a power adder vs +10% and so on. How to actually calculate head flow specs to choose a cam instead of shooting in the dark. I love the detail you guys go into compared to other companies that just care about making sales instead of setting someone up for success with their products
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the Tech Talks! We hope to be able to resume them in the future, but unfortunately, right now they're overly time consuming for several employees at once. However, we're developing plans to produce more technical-minded content, hopefully that'll be able to hold you over!
Good information. My 383 domes were flycut and i have plenty of P to V clearance. I didn't think about spark plug clearance. It never hit once when tried starting the engine, each piston closed the plug gap. I'd had my heads shaved a lot. As much as i could while still maintaining a good intake to manifold seal. 1969 041x heads 202,160 valves. I had ac delco 44ts plugs. Went to ac delco 44t plugs and I used indexing washers. Works great. Had i knew this was an issue i would have had x amount notched for clearance at the plug also.
Yes, we have some on the website, and you can always shoot us an email if you want some assistance in planning the build out, we'd be happy to help point you in the right direction!
We have done a 416 with the Max Package, as well as a solid roller 416 with the Max Package! If this is the route you're planning to go, we would prefer to do a more aggressive cam for the 416! Just shoot us an email if you need some assistance in planning out the build, we'd be more than happy to help point you in the right direction!

It's one of those things that's easy to overlook/not think about for sure!

Thank You
You're welcome
Have you guys done a 416 stroker with max heads cam package? Is it possible? Cam could be bigger?
