Another tip. If you want to cancel the paddle shift mode just hold down the positive paddle shifter for 3 seconds. And it will cancel it

best way to get your 10R80 full potential. Slap in in S, go to the lowest gear possible, punch it, slap it back in drive mode while holding the throttle down and the computer won’t shift until it’s redline, congratulations, you just made a drag monster.
Once you get a tune , you don’t got to bring it down to d, just punch it 👌🏾

I Love my 10 speed mustang in the Sport Mode in my 2018 mustang GT it Really gets Rowdy with my Corsa Extreme catback with double H pipe .

Save,buy a used one. Do bolt ons as you save and you will be excited because your going slow with your build. Free advice. Buy the best. Get a Rousch true cold air, and ditch that horrible Ford exaust and go Flowmaster OUTLAW SERIES. X PIPE, then headers(long tube American Muscle) +a tune. You will be walking 80% of the cars out their. Buy a 2019. The above build is under 5 g. One dollar at a time! Good luck you will get one someday!
Also if you blip the throttle real quick it will downshift as low as possible all by itself in auto👍🏻
PRO TIP- you put it in S mode and sport plus with TC off it makes a world of a difference when racing. That’s why you see some ppl with 10 speeds gap scatpaks and some don’t thats how you can tell who knows what there doing an who doesn’t.
What do turning tc off do when racing? What if I drift or sum ?
What about drag mode with traction off that’s the best mode
@@MrUnbound turning off tc stop the car from cutting power when you break traction. It gives you the full power. Driving with it on you don’t get all the power to the wheels because the computer limits it to help with traction
@@jaythewrapper239 yea it is just make sure tc and esc is off you have to hold the traction control knob 7 seconds
Can you turn off traction control while driving or do you have to turn it on before you drive?

You typically use more gas in manual shift mode because the automatic drive setting has been programmed to save as much gas as possible and it is done by a robot. It is very difficult for a human to shift as the level of precision a computer is able to in order to save as much gas as possible

I drive in sport mode and used no paddles and it was like a beast... more aggressive than S plus.
Do you know how to put it in sport plus mode when you don’t have the toggles like you have? Also do you have to shift when it’s in S mode versus D ?? Please let me know if you can help. Great video btw. I want to use Sport+ mode just don’t have those toggles like you. Looked in the owners manual too and couldn’t find anything.
You don’t have to use the paddles in S gear it just unleashes the transmission I only drive in S gear D gear when raining or if I wan to save gas but mostly S gear it’s more fun
Driving in Sport + is fun but comes at a cost, more fuel burned. When in "D" my GT will skip 2nd and 4th gear almost always under normal acceleration. I enjoy Sport + occasionally but with the cost of gas I just can't justify driving around in it all day. While watching your video, which I enjoyed, all I could think about is you gas gauge dropping like a rock.

Buddy, like the other guy said, you're in the wrong car. I am not a car guy whatsoever, I don't get to drive my GT often but when I do, gas is the last thing on my mind. You do not seem to be enjoying it.
Yeah whenever I use sport mode in my 2018 gt 10 speed the car shakes violently whenever it shifts but is perfect in normal mode idk wtf it’s doing

If so do you think it’s worth getting over getting a premium?
I believe it it is. It really comes down to if you want leather seats and some other comforts like heated seats and steering wheel, and if you went 401a you can get the upgraded sound system and digital dash. Nut those things weren't a must for me so that's why I picked what I did

@@timgenz2849 You Can always be a cheap ass like me and buy 2018 mustang GT Base model with cloth seats and a CD players which I Really Wanted, but Ive got a $1,800 Corsa Extreme catback with Corsa double H pipe included as well and Air Raid Cold Air Intake.
Personally if you can get the GT Premium California Special (CS) this is really bedt option. You get the Alacantra leather seats and the premium features and the extra CS touches. The additional side scoop is great and bigger tail wing is really great too.
Regular premium leather looks a bit outdated in my opinion whereas the cloth looks better. The digital dial is beautiful bit not a deal breaker. But the ability to change exhaust sounds in premium is definitely worth it and loads of fun! Track mode exhaust is addictive with great pops.
So in conclusion GT Premium CS is the best choice.
3 whole weeks with no car cause it got backed into and needed door replaced so dumb was an avoidable thing but people don’t check their mirrors they even had back up camera

Do your downshifts jerk? Not a normal downshift, but like a jerk that hits you from the back kindda
I've never experienced it but I imagine if you down shift rapidly it may do it but I've never done it

I never use the paddles unless I'm downshifting lowest gear for a roll race
Same here. It's faster having the car up shift anyway
Downshift to right gear tc completely off in sport / whatever mode flip it back in drive

Mine isn’t as smooth. In sport plus mode it feels like it stops while it shifts then shifts(like a manual car)
It is just holding the gear....lower gear more power

If you are racing from a dig or even on the highway, leave it in auto, it shifts faster than it does when using the paddles.
I use the paddles when up in the mtns and I want to hang onto gears longer, use more engine braking, etc... I am typically in Sport+ in the wet, and Track when it is dry pavement.
