I love how much room for preference there is in Edison Format's meta. I've looked up 3 different Frog Monarch profiles so far, and all of them have approached it a different way. This deck goes harder on looping the frogs, another profile I saw goes for a hand looping strategy, and another profile seemed like more of a standard tribute control strategy with Light & Darkness Dragon and Vanity Fiend.
Flip Flop Frog backup up by a Sub/Dupe lock helps you easily out Tytannial and Amaryllis. Also Lightning Vortex+Dark Dust Spirit post side gives you more answers to their established fields. Also if they are on Valley Amaryllis Flip Flop lets you push through their Valley and connect attacks with monarchs and/or Swap.
I'm deciding between Book of Moon and chalice for my side. They seem to play similar roles, obv Book of Moon being worse but better at other things. Have you play tested BoM? If so, what are your thoughts?
Book is not bad! But I prefer chalice as it allows monarchs to crash with a sole tytannial and can negate substitoad as well as monarchs for the mirror match. You can also chalice your own swap frog to attack over Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo in a pinch!
GB isn't too bad for this version, thanks to the Monarch cards. Also 3 dupe with 3 salvage allows you to setup dupe lock multiple times per game, which forces a direct response
Bricking on too much water really isnt nice, hence usually only 2 dupe and no fliflop is played. Even 2 swap is common, but with 3 salvage 3 is a must of course. I hoped for more innovation in this video as seen in your other cideos :) Have you tried moray of greed or Sangan? Mst main is a most for me as frogs love a simplyfied gamestate to just win with monarchs, and they love no backrows. Also playing side deck cards in the main is important to allow more side deck space. Funny about enemy controller, some people swear by it even in Hero Frogs, and I am totally with you that Soul Ex helps way more and EC is a bit of a winmore card. Can be good in a Ladd/Thestalos focused deck though of course.
I've tried Sangan but I found him to be too slow, coupled with the fact it's another DDV target. Moray has the issue of being too inconsistent. If you open dupe and a blank water you don’t want to shuffle them back to hope to see a way to play. And if you see swap or substitoad your hand is already good. It's also bad into DDV
It doesn't hit monarchs but it hits frogs and can be drawn into an established sub/dupe lock. Which are the best plays and cards of the frog deck. DDV is one of the worst cards to face as a frog player.

Always appreciate it that you put the DB Decklist link in the discription! Thanks for this profile!
One of the best edison channels so far. Love ur context greeting from Ecuador
Thank you! How is the Edison scene in Ecuador?
@@FrozenCardGamingit is quite normal, we usually play from 10 to 17 every Saturday but on regionals there are over 50 :)
Great list! Big fan of the channel and greetings from México!
You’re the goat! Thank you for this video!
What would you suggest to win the Amaryllis matchup? With the hero and the control versions I have a tough time against it

Yeah, Dark Dust is the nuts in any frog deck vs Ama, Recruiter decks, and even the mirror match
@@FrozenCardGaming Okay, thank you!

How does this deck do against dragon turbo or glad beasts? I feel those 2 decks are for sure frogs worst matchups.

Loved the profile but just a note for everyone: Substitoad is LIMITED, just a FYI. Still a great deck!
It's at three! This is "Edison format", ie how Yugioh was played in March of 2010.
Since when does DDV affect monarchs lol? i side it out vs frogs
