On older firmware like 5.05 the PS4 pro has the same performance on Linux. But been tested on 9.00 the PS4 pro has worse performance on Linux than original PS4.
Karo host is the best, I am using it and cached it in my browser. It works flawlessly with my PS4. And the PS4 Temperature app is the best, I no longer had to worry about PS4 overheating or temperature getting hot

Um, after owning a Jailbroke PS3 since 2018 I can honestly say the PS2 sand PS1 emulation on it is like 98% perfect. Most games can be emulated with the official Sony developed emulators great. Problem is only that you can't really increase the internal resolution of those games on the official emulators same as on PS4, but the smoothing does add post processions AA to the image so it does help smooth it out. I have yet to get a PS4, but might pick up a used Pro system soon. I like the fact I can run a lot of PC games on it as I am a huge PC gamer. Plus the emulation seems pretty awesome even thought it is more spotty for official PS1 and PS2 games, but still has a lot of flexibility from what I see.

Do both of them. You can play online with mods on ps3 but ps4 you can play new games with mods better graphics and better fps
