Just a tip for anyone who may need it. If you're scared of accidentally updating to a higher firmware just turn off your automatic system updates and all automatic updates, and especially while in the exploit page Disable Updates.
I have a question my PS4 is up to date with 8.03 firmware and if I were to jailbreak it with the latest update am I able to go back to my regular PS4 if I decide I no longer want it jailbroken or am I stuck? My dads friend jail broke mine and I had over 200 games. I was young and didn’t remember the game I played the previous day so I played a new game every day.
I remember I had to open up a battery and mess with the prongs just to be able to jailbreak my PSP 😂 Felt like a god creating my own modded battery. The PSP was sooooo far ahead of its' time. Imagine if a portable PS4 or Xbox came out this year...especially since most games are digitally downloaded now too.
I think what you wanted to say at the end of the video is that the jailbreak is semi-untethered as distinct from untethered, the latter meaning that the device can jailbreak itself every time during the boot process. The former meaning that the jailbreak is installed, but needs to be activated every time you turn on your console. The same concept applies to iPhones/iPads/iPods. FYI tethered would mean that you would have to do the whole process of installing the jailbreak every time you want to switch on the device.

PC is good, but some games you simply can't play unless you wait 10 years for an emulator or get a console. PS3 emulator is JUST getting off the ground, so PS4 emulator is gonna play it's first AAA game in 3-5 years.
Yup but say goodbye to your multiplayer. You cant play online games with a jailbroken ps4 and if you try to connect your psn acc, Sony will be notified and your acc will be banned. You'll have to buy a new ps4. Thank me later.

I once came across a website that sells gaming PC's for $6000, so I think I'll stick with console which costs way less and lasts a long time.

The cons are, I have never had 4.55 crash on me, yet 5.05 crashes... quite a few times I must say since it's release. Most of the time it seems to crash when enabling HEN, or dumping games, but that's the point of a JB system IMO, so yes, there is a downside, and I hope that a new JB fixes it.
What if you for example download a dlc. For example a dlc for a game such as «god of war» or «ac origins» that gives you a piece of gear for your character. Will that gear get removed if you set your ps4 to normal again? Assuming you own the game but the dlc is jailbroken.

Well it seems like its possible but thr devs arent releasing that because it would just create problems and since we can edit index.dat files now it may come but dont expect it yet. If you know anything better than me, correct me :)

Well today modders can connect online, you can easily find modders on xenoverse 2, literally there was a modder at the top of the ranked list on that game for like a month! No. Your current firmware version is stored on a special chip and if the chip's version is greater than the version you're trying to install it will not work, no matter what the hard drive your using has on it.
They are either spoofing their firmware version to look like they have a new one or they are just bullshitting. Unless they replace the whole mobo I can guarantee that it didn't happen. It's impossible at the moment. Out of curiosity, which videos have evidence of people downgrading?
I don't know if anyone has tried this yet, but could you have the jailbreak on the ps4 hard-drive and have a non-jailbroken instance of ps4 software on something like SSD? this way you can just swap between the two when you want to play games you already have online, such as Fortnite. Anyone know if this would work?

it's possible, you have to download patch from same game someone put up, like on torrents etc, some games are even on torrents already patched.
it's not possible to download latest patches for newer games, cause you can't go online and patches are on 5.55

@@alistairupton1960 Not really, you would have to buy a monitor and all of those items that could be expensive, and if you want your PC to be really fast it could take more than $2000 for a gaming pc. I once came across a website that sells gaming PC's for $6000, so I think I'll stick with console which costs way less and lasts a long time.

run mira+hen then after use "original" after that use the program click on run payload if it works then youre good run the game and click on attach for the cheats depends on the game and you should be set if it doesnt work clear your cookies and reset your ps4 start the ps4 fresh and also the program as well

The cons are, I have never had 4.55 crash on me, yet 5.05 crashes... quite a few times I must say since it's release. Most of the time it seems to crash when enabling HEN, or dumping games, but that's the point of a JB system IMO, so yes, there is a downside, and I hope that a new JB fixes it.

Yeah when i was on 4.05 i had some crashes but since i am on 4.55 i haven't face any problems/crashes.

What if you for example download a dlc. For example a dlc for a game such as «god of war» or «ac origins» that gives you a piece of gear for your character. Will that gear get removed if you set your ps4 to normal again? Assuming you own the game but the dlc is jailbroken.
I wouldn't risk it. Just buy the DLC. It's only a couple of bucks.

All obtained trophies sync once online. There is a makeshift’s offline storage for trophies if u dont have internet.

Well today modders can connect online, you can easily find modders on xenoverse 2, literally there was a modder at the top of the ranked list on that game for like a month! GTA 5 you can go online for role play as well which i wish I could do cause I’ve been wanted to play GTA role play for idk how long and I wish that they would make an online GTA role play game mode.
Look for spoofing ps4 online that can let you go online. PS Vita has computer programs that allow users to go inn PSN Store with lower firmwares.

No. Your current firmware version is stored on a special chip and if the chip's version is greater than the version you're trying to install it will not work, no matter what the hard drive your using has on it.

They are either spoofing their firmware version to look like they have a new one or they are just bullshitting. Unless they replace the whole mobo I can guarantee that it didn't happen. It's impossible at the moment. Out of curiosity, which videos have evidence of people downgrading?
I don't know if anyone has tried this yet, but could you have the jailbreak on the ps4 hard-drive and have a non-jailbroken instance of ps4 software on something like SSD? this way you can just swap between the two when you want to play games you already have online, such as Fortnite. Anyone know if this would work?
