- We're doing to do some dyeing of yarn and combed top for spinning today with acid dyes! John's joining me, and will begin taking a few commissions a month if anybody is interested! He is so creative with colors, and we always have fun dyeing, especially to music. Maybe next time he'll talk more LOL! Love you!

John is so methodical about dyeing, he's careful where he puts the colour.

My man is a man of few words as well and a sweetheart like yours. Same here weather wise but snow isn't gone. Spring keeps flippin us the bird HA. That's a really cool idea...the whole "commission" thing with John. These are all looking SUPER interesting so far!!! Nice pile...means you two got a lot of work done :) Caffeine withdrawal symptoms can be terrible. There's some great braids in there. I'll have to tell you my faves later after they're named and in the shop lol.

You both came up with some beautiful color combos. I just recently bought a heddle loom and am currently working on my first project. My ultimate goal is to spin some yarn and make something from that yarn. No room for a spinning wheel but I do have a drop spindle. You're a great inspiration. Wonderful to see your passion come out and to have a husband who shares that passion with you.

Ok 2 things I’m taking away from this video (as I learn and experiment with dying my fibres) I need to be more confident and saturate the wool. And also to play around with how I orientate the top in the pan. 👍🏻👍🏻

Somehow I all of your dying videos I have missed how you heat set after applying dye. Do you use the stove top or oven?
I almost always use stove stop now. They go on simmer for anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes
