I think this ECF is about as even as it can get. It's been a while since the 2 best teams in the conference played to go to the Stanley cup finals. Neither team is a "Happy to be here" team. They both had their runs at that card. Both teams are ready to take that next step. It should be a good series.
The Rangers faced adversity against the Canes. After winning two overtime games to go up 3-0 they lost two straight and were down 3-1 in the third period in game 6. I would say the Panthers faced some adversity in both series. While their series against the Lightning seemed lopsided, their games were tight and the first three could have gone either way. Even game 5 was close until late in the third period. They also faced some adversity against the Bruins. It was important for them to bounce back from some poor mistakes in game 1 and they did. They took a lead in game 6 with about 93 seconds left in regulation. I think the Rangers might have an advantage with special teams (the Lightning had that advantage over Florida too) but I think the Panthers might have a 5 on 5 advantage. The Panthers have also faced better goaltending in their two series so far than the Rangers.
@@waynetrain6850 The Rangers led in every game in the entire series I think the Caps had a 1 goal lead for 3+ minutes in the entire series. The Rangers may have an advantage coming off a series against the Canes who are a hell of a lot better than Boston who has barely any offensive players. In fact Tampa is washed up and almost didn't make the playoffs they got hot with 3-4 weeks and got in and Boston isn't very good they have problems scoring the Rangers if anything had the tougher path because the Canes are a really good team who had a shot to win the whole thing. No one would pick Tampa or Boston to get out of the 2nd round but people were picking Carolina to win the cup and if they finished better who knows.
Let’s see how rangers respond while they will be getting hit nonstop .Both teams great offense ,Florida slightly better on def. Home ice advantage doesn’t matter ,I feel like cats play better on road ,Panthers in 7☝🏻
The Rangers were ashamed of what happened in last year’s playoffs. They are on a mission to undo the shame. Panthers have nothing to be ashamed of last year. I think the Rangers take this because of the added motivation. Rangers in 6.
According to ChatGPT... To determine how often teams win the fourth game of a series on their first attempt in the NHL playoffs, we need to look at the success rate of teams in clinching series when they first reach a potential elimination game (Game 4 if leading 3-0, Game 5 if leading 3-1, etc.). Here’s a more detailed breakdown: TEAMS LEADING 3-0: - When a team leads a series 3-0, they have their first chance to clinch the series in Game 4. - Historically, teams leading 3-0 win the series 98% of the time. - Of those series, approximately 70-75% of teams win Game 4 to sweep the series. TEAMS LEADING 3-1: - If the team did not win Game 4 and leads 3-1, they get their first chance to clinch the series in Game 5. - Teams leading 3-1 win the series around 90% of the time. - About 55-60% of those teams win Game 5 to clinch the series. TEAMS LEADING 3-2: - If the series extends further, with the leading team holding a 3-2 advantage, their next chance to clinch comes in Game 6. - Teams leading 3-2 win the series roughly 75-80% of the time. - The percentage winning Game 6 varies but is generally lower compared to earlier opportunities due to the increasing competitiveness of the series. BASED ON THESE FACTS: - When a team is leading 3-0, they win Game 4 and clinch the series on their first attempt approximately 70-75% of the time. - When a team is leading 3-1, they win Game 5 and clinch the series on their first attempt about 55-60% of the time. These statistics suggest that while the fourth win is often challenging, teams are relatively successful at clinching the series on their first opportunity, especially when leading 3-0. The difficulty increases slightly when teams attempt to clinch at 3-1, indicating that while Game 4 (or the first elimination game) is significant, it is not disproportionately difficult compared to subsequent elimination games.
Great match up with stats almost identical. If one team is down 2-1 or 3-2 and has to come back to win game 5, 6 or 7 it will be to the FL Panthers advantage since they played the previous 2 years with playoff experience and they were down 3-1 last year against the best team that made history having the best NHL Record in History as the President's Cup and the FL Panthers beat Bruins in game 7 at Boston. I BELIEVE the FL Panthers will win it in 6 or 7 games.
I'm a Panther fan, and the Bruins series was extremely close to going to a game 7. I think the playoff and adversity the Panthers faced last year has provided them with invaluable experience to make it to the Finals this year and overcome adversity presented during the Rangers series. I am truly worried about the Rangers though. They are absolutely stacked and I won't be surprised if they win. I'm curious to see what the oddsmakers think. I wish the Panthers still had Trocheck. Lots of Russians in this series. Two fantastic Russian goaltenders facing off. Should be an amazing series.
Great Video, as usual, Kevin. I know that you're Islanders' Fan but, a Let's Go Rangers!!! for My Team, especially since I'll root for The Islanders, if The Rangers & Chicago aren't in it (at the very least, don't root against them - LOL). Canes the best team in the playoffs ??😂😂. The number 1 seed plays the lesser teams. The advantage of being the one seed. Rangers have no idea what’s coming
@@felixvasquez1570 I know how a playoff bracket works...I think you need to take a step back from your clear Florida bias and realize that the Canes were favored by nearly everyone in round 1. Anything could happen, but I pick NY. Will be a great series regardless

Rangers just like Florida are well balanced team with rolling all their lines and solid goaltending. Rangers have some Stanley cup winners in their locker room. So I’m gonna take my Rangers in this one
All tho the rangers didn’t face much adversity besides going down 3-1 in a game. I think the teams they beat were much better than the ones the panthers have faced so far.
Weird point about giving Florida an edge because they took out “real playoff teams” in Boston and Tampa, after the Rangers just took out Carolina. Carolina is better than Florida… Look at it this way, if you had to pick a goalie between Shesterkin and Bobrovsky, who are you taking? Shesterkin. If you had to pick a d-corps, whose are you taking? The Rangers’. If you have to pick a forward group, whose are you taking? It’s closer, probably a toss up. Whose special teams are you taking? Who has better passing? Rangers have the best passing in the league. Florida is good, but the Rangers gotta be favoured here.
I just think too many people hyped up Carolina. Honestly in the Isles series if they didn’t shoot themselves in the foot that series Carolina might’ve lost. They didn’t look cohesive enough imo. Plus playing Washington in the first round kinda seen as a cakewalk. This series is a much better test for the Rangers
As a Bruins fan I won’t make excuses because we went as far as we could after losing Bergeron, Krecji and Bertuzzi.
