Can I ask some newbie question? What type of data we Input when we are setting the Period? How does this define EA's work? There are 21 time periods in MT5. But how does this relate to EA work? By setting, for example, Period 21? Does this mean that the EA uses all time frames? Because I can also set Period 30 and the results are different in backtests, so I'm not sure anymore if it has to do with period m1 m2 ....H1.... D1 etc.
Im sorry, I love this channel but this video is kinda fishy... the backtest of 10 years on 5 Min chart and it only gives 99 Trades! Im sorry to say that but I think the data is modified to fit the wining trades only. Thats a bad move actually : (
@blackview1285 yea 99 trades in 5min tf for that long is strange. But rather than fishy, I think it's just because of the optimization (maybe over optimized) as he said in the video. Also the open price tick will be nowhere near the actual ticks on realtime.
I never thought it was possible to achieve a 100 % win rate without using martingale... But today through your video I have discovered that it is possible even if it's a high risky strategy
The EA, is NOT a 100% win rate. I have coded it and test it in the strategy tester for the same period, for the same time frame. There is no EA that can achieve 100% win rate.

Otherwise it’s easy for viewers to get confused as to what you are doing . I recommending for each video spending at least one or two minutes explaining exactly what you will be coding.

Thanks very much! I don't like multiple entries and exits. If you think about it, it's just multiple, highly correlated strategies combined into one. It is then also more difficult to analyze which part of entry and exit is working and which is not.
Complimenting Toby would be an understatement, I'm just saying that even though I don't know English, I understood more from some of his videos than from many others that promise the moon. I hope someone can help me understand something. I followed the 2 videos on the RSI step by step and the next one in which he added the MA. I use the same parameters as him for the backtest. Result "0", no operation is performed. Why???

Hi, I test all my strategies on custom symbols with data from dukascopy. The equity is so good because it is from a optimization (curvefitting). As I said, I would not trade this on a live account, at least the first combination. The second backtest is much more realistic and I think there is some potential in the rsi signals.

Hey, using PRICE_OPEN is good if you run your EA on open ticks only. For the latest bar open and close price is the same. So its better to use OPEN_PRICE.
I think , I found a high profitable strategy, You can code it and make a video please, Strategy : 1. FVG 2. RSI 3. EMA 200 First we have identify market trend by Moving Average 200 period, Then we need to find out All FVGs, And finally when Market is downtrend and RSI is over 70 region along with FVG Fill up(Body Close or just reach FVGs) we trigger sell entry and When trend is up (price is above ema 200 period line) , we wait for market reach FVG area and RSI reach 30 area then we can trigger buy entry, In 15 Minute timeframe for Scalping mode, 1H, 4H is for high reward ratio. Please make this EA, I think This EA will be record Breaking EA. I am watching this happens everyday in GOLD.
I was able to get the code written and it definitely ran, but it didn't place a single trade. I noticed that my values for the magic number, and the start and stop/stop/steps were different, but I couldn't change them. Do I need to download something else, perhaps the RSI and MA indicators? I just don't understand why my numbers are so different and I ran the exact same test, but didn't get a single buy. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
No, this is not a martingale strategy. Losing trades are allowed. And of course, if you lose a trade, it's bigger than the average winning trade, but it won't destroy your account (unless you're trading with too much risk). But as I also said in the video, I would not trade this 100% win rate strategy on my live account. This combination of parameters happened to not have a losing trade (over-optimization) during backtesting. But I think that you can build a good strategy with the RSI signals.
Could you have the moving average displayed on the USDJPY_CM5 chart instead of the other CH1 chart. It's easier to perform the analysis if it's all indicators were displayed in one chart.. wouldn't you agree? or is that a constraint of MT5 ?
@@trustfultrading Isn't a MA with the period 10 on a hourly chart the same as a MA with period of 120 on a 5 min chart, because 60 min / 5min = 12 ? I could be misunderstanding the situation...
I have a question, when not using fixed lot option and choose dynamic lot option (lot size % of account,) when you use the stop loss value of 0, the EA will not work and the MT5 chart message will show warning message saying that you cannot set stop loss value of 0 when choosing the dynamic lot option. Is there a way to fix this problem?

RSI works better on breakouts. If the bot could pick trades at the breakout points and not break in, then the winning rate would go higher i think....how do you code it to work with the breakout??

@@tacticalmobile1343 Depends on the strategy. For scalping, pending orders have the advantage, that they are already on the server of the broker. But for normal strategies you can use market orders. I do too.
Also what do you think about putting a pending order 1 pip above the ask for buy stop or below for buy limit, Or even putting the pending order at the ask, does it still give the advantage a pending order would have while acting like a market order because of time order will be filled.
So i downloaded your bot, put in the exact same values for the test, but the bot didnt open any trades. i also built a few mt5 bots myself, but they also all didnt open any trades. do you maybe have some advice? :)
I've downloaded and tested it and it always ends losing. Maybe works on that pair for that period of time but I'll not put money on this because I will end losing. But thanks for providing the content anyways.

I have programmed a few strategies in mql5 and I’ve realised that the mt5 strategy tester is very inaccurate and doesn’t always replicate real time data.

Hint - Open only gives false positive back test results. The real market acts on your trades everytick even if your code ignores the market.

There is a simple way to test this. Its called out of sample testing. And yes, this EA probably won't have a 100% win rate in the future.

I would just test it on 28 pairs... ;) If its a mean reversion strategy I would try EURCAD. But I would just run it on all pairs.

You would have to code a multi timeframe indiactor for that.
@@trustfultrading Isn't a MA with the period 10 on a hourly chart the same as a MA with period of 120 on a 5 min chart, because 60 min / 5min = 12 ? I could be misunderstanding the situation...
I have a question, when not using fixed lot option and choose dynamic lot option (lot size % of account,) when you use the stop loss value of 0, the EA will not work and the MT5 chart message will show warning message saying that you cannot set stop loss value of 0 when choosing the dynamic lot option. Is there a way to fix this problem?
Thats not a problem, thats how it should be ;) To calculate the lot size you just need a SL to know your risk.

You have to be careful with the SL/TP inputs values. Its in points you probably have to backtest this for BTC and use different settings.

This only works for mql5. What you should do is to switch to MT5.

RSI works better on breakouts. If the bot could pick trades at the breakout points and not break in, then the winning rate would go higher i think....how do you code it to work with the breakout??

Make sure to compile from time to time. Otherwise you will end up with a lot of errors in the end.

Yeah the default broker data is not good. At least in most cases. Thats why I use custom symbols to backtest.

@@tacticalmobile1343 Depends on the strategy. For scalping, pending orders have the advantage, that they are already on the server of the broker. But for normal strategies you can use market orders. I do too.

every system i have seen never sets stop loss and martingales your account to like 40 percent drawdown

You have to give your bots full access to your trading account.
You can find good tutorials on UA-cam, to solve your problem
I've downloaded and tested it and it always ends losing. Maybe works on that pair for that period of time but I'll not put money on this because I will end losing. But thanks for providing the content anyways.
