- There's a lot of options when it comes to building a firewood rack to season your firewood. Here is one that can be made for free with some pallets off of facebook marketplace and a few scrap pieces of 2x4 I had laying around!
Materials we use all in one place on our Amazon Storefront: www.amazon.com...
"and voilaaaa!" that's just icing on the wood pallet rack, ma fren! 😆
Happy you enjoy the enthusiasm.😂
Got a late start on splitting and stacking firewood..but i have a lota places here in South Atlanta that want to give away pallets!
Great advice brother...thank you
Never too late to get started! 2 years ago when we fell behind we just chopped up some fallen trees that had been down a while but weren’t laying in the dirt and they worked great on short notice. Just gotta make sure they aren’t fully lying on the ground soaking up water. Thanks for watching!
Great job!
Thanks. We’ve outgrown this set up now. We will do a video of the expansion before long!
ooh man nice place..👌✌
Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed the build out!
Do you fit an entire chord on there when its full?
Yes it’s right at a cord of wood. 8ft by 4ft deep by 4ft tall. I’ve actually began greatly expanding this rack into something much larger now though. I’ll have a video up before long with it all finished.
Why do you need a rack at all? Side pallets won't hold a serious load of firewood anyway. So why bother? Just use 4 pallets instead of 2 pallets on the bottom and no side walls at all. Just stack the firewood as it should be - like bricks when building a wall or chimney. This will make the firewood pile bigger, stronger and more accessible when needed.
It held fine for what I needed it for. And though sidewalls are not needed, when you have small children that climb and play on everything the sidewalls are safer and keep a little one from having a log stack fall on top of them. I don’t use it anymore though. I’ve made two 12ftx4ft pallet baskets that just toss my split wood into and don’t have to stack wood at all. Much faster for the volume of wood I split and it still seasons up just the same.
