- Post Malone and Ozzy Osbourne worked on a song together called Take What You Want. I haven't done a reaction in a long time......let's see how it went.

Wow this Ozzy guy is good, Post should help him make his own album.
What?
@@skippyskip9177 r/woosh
Name shut the fuck up
I guess r/woosh is still used
Are you serious?
One thing that’s great. I really like the fact that a real rock guitar solo was used in a modern pop/trap/rap song. I feel this might open up more guitar solo’s in more mainstream songs hopefully
The polyphia kids are really doing it, they started it when Tim played some crazy ass prog solo on Yung Bans last album (literally listened just for that one solo) and now Post is copying, I say copy because they’re both done very similarly, placing the solo at the end, so I would guess he was probably influenced by that solo
Danny Aghdam so the vast majority of rock and metal are copying each other because of where the solo is?
Mason C I would argue at the very beginning, yeah probably, someone heard a solo and went “I’m gonna do that too” but now with rock and metal it’s been such a long time that it’s almost expected for a solo, the reason I say that this song was probably inspired is because it’s a very unique thing in hip hop to have a solo, I would be surprised if he didn’t hear the other record and decide he wanted to try his take on a hip hop solo
@@Viper-dz2kw I think he probably wanted the guitar solo more because Ozzy was on the song and he was trying to bring those rock elements into it since he had a rock legend on the song.
Yeah..how about musicians who play instruments....ya think🤔
If you don't like Post Malone you still have to admit Ozzy killed the chorus and it was a good song
man i never heard of ozzy before and now im a huge sabbath fan crazy!
@@joshpalaro9098 How did you not know who Ozzy Osborne was? Are you like 10?
@@YamnayaSintash exactly what i was thinking. Anyone who grew up in the 2000s would recognise him from the osbournes at least
@@Zultzify It depends on the parents. You can't know who Ozzy is, if you weren't exposed to his or similar music.
@@YamnayaSintash twenty six i grew up with pop my dude no need to be a dick :/
Are we just gonna ignore the fact this guy looks like a combine of Post Malone and Ozzy Osbourne???🤔
Hahahahhaha
Was thinking the same thing
I just fucking snorted, hahahaha
Literally
Sharon Osbourne was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and yep, you were right, he showed up for 30 mins, recorded one line and left 😂
What next? Dave Mustaine and Taylor Swift.
Too blonde to happen
David Nwokoye 😂
If Dave Mustaine can even sing again... aaaand I’m going to hell😒
Beyoncé And Behemoth
Petrucci feat. Shakira

I pretty much agree with everything said here. In my opinion, if Post occasionally ditched the hip-hop and autotune and just fully embraced rock, it'd be way better than this type of formulaic music, no matter how good it sounds. The fact that the song with Ozzy is the one that resonated so much with people who heard the album is an indicator that people want something new that has a real quality to it. Nothing wrong with the trap stuff, but he's scratching the surface of a genre he could probably do very well in.
This is exactly what my thoughts are when I heard this song
George Townswick true true, but a lot of trap songs feature the same flow/ same meaning behind the lyrics and thats offputting for a lot of ppl
idk man didn't post have his own rock band before and people didn't give a shit I think that's why he doesn't just dive completely back into it.
Matrix I think people didn’t care because he wasn’t relevant, or his band sucked, i haven’t listened to it. Him having so much influence could bring some people to rock and metal.
Post probably won’t have a successful rock album although I think he’d do a killer blues record
Why is post Malone talking about himself in the third person
Fun Fact: Chad Smith played drums on this track.
Also, it was actually Ozzy who reached out to Post and wanted to do a song with him.
@ThatBadGuy What do you mean?
TheDuffyMSGR64 you mean Will Ferrell?
@ThatBadGuy .. it's Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer
ThatBadGuy I mean clearly there’s a trap beat on it but during those build ups and climax’s there’s a very obvious acoustic kit playing. I’ve read that it’s Chad but I feel like you’d at least throw his name in the performance credits if it was- who knows.
Also stop saying “real” drums, y’all sound like a bunch of dads in a pub. Programmed drums have been a thing since the 80’s are a perfectly valid aesthetic choice and aren’t any more or less legitimate that acoustic drums.
@@WAMMO678 Sampled drums are 100% less legitimate than acoustic drums.
And also, "Real" is a valid way to describe acoustic drums.
Song says: "Take you what you want from me." but when you react to it, the video gets claimed. This is why I have trust issues.
I dunno if this “Ozzy” fella is gonna go very far, but that travis person will do well.
Pretending that you don't know ozzy
@@orion615 I'm curious who is Ozzy? Is he an Australian pop artist?
KeepMovingForward I think he’s from Canada or something

Chipmunk Ozzy is awesome
I enjoy Post's new album. You can definitely hear his affinity for rock.
He says he likes making random rock songs on the side, who knows maybe we might see a rock project in the future
He’s even said he doesn’t even care for rap/trap he’d rather be making folk/country/rock
Tallon Dixon nah, he didn’t
Any of you guys seen the video where post Malone is hanging out and jamming to metal with Jared dines
It's great that Ozzy is being heard by a new generation again, but I honestly think that people are more likely to go look up his reality show than go find a Mr. Crowley video or NIB video or a War Pigs video and listen to them.
Gamana as someone who was born in 2000, his show was what introduced me to him lol
The people who hate on Ozzy for "selling out" are just as bad and annoying as the people who think all metal is just a bunch of screamo.
This song doesn’t feel like he’s selling out though.
Ok let's be honest Mike, Ozzy is immortal and is the living incarnation if coke.
Let's wait and Ozzy's monthly listeners number will rise!
I really like the way you review music and your analytic process. It shows that you care about passion and art much more than telling people which genres suck and which genres don't. Came here for the song, stayed for the review!
You're so articulate, my guy.
Mike Dillon veRy
A very talented tongue
And yet he's so lacking in self-awareness
@@JaneEticFailure In what way?
Who is this Ozzy Osbourne guy? He's gonna so famous.
Oh man, I died reading that.
At least they know quality.

Do you not understand jokes?
Those, most probably, were jokes, mate.
Can't you people just understand mean sarcasm and trolling?
Apparently yall didn't read them. It was not trolling.
@@swagatmalla6634 Nah I don't think so. Most of these people are really fucking dumb.
The guitar player is Andrew Watt and on the drums is Chad Smith
Travis scott actualy uses autotune very originally it’s part of his style, he makes trap music but with an artsy, psychedelic twist
Man I was hoping since it had Ozzy it'd be a full blown metal song. Oh well
TheGrude you’re dumb.
TheGrude it’s Post Malone’s song and it’s featuring Travis Scott... it’s obvious it wouldn’t be a metal song
Yo Mike, those people on Twitter were joking.
Some of them were, but I'm sure there are many people who have no idea who Ozzy is. Just look at the Kanye - McCartney collaboration
@@mihneazoican2479 Kanye worked with McCartney?
@@mihneazoican2479 Who?
Mihnea Zoican I agree that some really don’t, I have a 12 year old who doesn’t know Ozzy and I play Sabbath and Ozzy solo stuff and would never be able to guess unless I told him lol
@@mihneazoican2479 What was McCarthney doing in Kenya? ;-)
Ozzy was actually in the studio with Watt (played the guitar solo at the end) him and Ozzy were talking about Post and his music and Watt called Post and said you guys gotta do a song annndddd yup that’s how it happened
With the exceptions of the trap elements (the singing and the drums), this song is quite enjoyable. The guitar solo turned out suprisingly well especially if you compare it to Ed Sheeran's take on rock and it's solo......
I wish artists like Ozzy and Post Malone did stuff like this more often. Like when Lady Gaga and Metallica performed together, I like seeing these different styles collide and seeing what can happen. It can bring about new and interesting ideas which doesn't always work but when it does, it can be very enjoyable
Post Malone the only one who I respect in this generation.
He is a metalhead.
Why doesn’t he make good music then?
EddieMachetti because rap makes him money. Rap is his job and Rock is his fun
Then why does he make shitty music? Makes no sense.
I saw a video of post Malone jamming to metal with jerad dines

Luke Robinett
Well considering Corey Taylor has hinted at working with Eminem I don’t even know if it is anymore
He already did Aerosmith aha

Thnx mike, really missed these type of vids.
The Twitter stuff is probably a joke and reference to people tweeting something similar about Paul McCartney when he featured on a Kanye song a few years ago
No some people really are just, ill informed on shit. I know a few people, who I've actually talk to, somehow, don't know Ozzy. Or even Black Sabbath, or Metallica
I could see that
Aaron Ceravolo it’s a joke boomer
Most people dont realize that Post Malone was a metal musician before he went into pop music and he was a guitarist. The bands name is Ashley's Arrival
As someone who grew up on heavy music, mainly east coast hardcore but also hip hop it’s important to understand that the use of auto-tune at this point has more to do with the sound than it does actually auto tuning the vocal track. There’s a certain, almost patented sound Travis Scott has which combines auto-tune, delay and tons of reverb on the vocal track. This creates his sound more than the old school approach of using auto-tune as an actual tool for vocal pitch correction.
Gotta love youtubers who let non popular artists shine!
damn in the background thats one sick guitar
After heading the song I needed to hear what you had to say! I was not disappointed!!!
I loooove “No More Tears”! I forgot how much I love it, dammit! Okay, I’ll finish your video, then I’m gonna go listen to that one again. Woooo! 💙💙🤣
Travis Scott was the weakest part of the song imo

Spontaneous Ejaculation post malone and travis was the weakest lol
he sounded shit...ozzy and post did good tho
He's the weakest part of his own songs
RandoZero Guitar lmao stick to your own genre of music
Travis Scott doesn't really "rely" on autotune, he uses it in a way that no one else does to make his voice sound more like an instrument or reach unnatural levels, I seriously recommend listening to 90210 or a lot of songs off his first studio album Rodeo, it's no where near what you imagine when you think of trap, rap and autotune, it takes it all to such an artsy level
Travis is one of those people who use auto tune really well and it adds to the song rather than taking away from the song. Doesn’t really work on this production but on more psychedelic beats it’s works wonders
Yesss i was waiting for this video
7:30 Alice Cooper mentioned this in an interview. Apparently he was one of the backup vocals for Johnny Cash's version of Personal Jesus . quote: " I never even met Johnny Cash. It happened so fast, I got called up, took me 20 minutes and I was done. I don't even know if I ended up on the album. "
I never thought for a minute something like this could happen, I feel like there’s not much left to live for
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS SNOB!!!!!
Your comments at the end made me laugh out loud. You, sir, have earned your like... again.
You hit the nail on the head especially with the vocal editing
Love the song. Hate that OZZY was auto tuned though
Maxwell Jeffries hate that any of them are auto tuned
It wasn't auto tuned . Reverb was added to it
@@otaku.metalhead6546 it's quite clearly auto tuned.
@@maxsoundandmusic might be the Travis Scott part 🤣🤣
@@otaku.metalhead6546 no it was definitely autotuned. The slides in their notes was unnatural and the way Ozzy was singing was edited as that is not how he sings
a Nu Metal revival would be something for the Decade coming.
I appreciate your understanding of that guitar Solo, As for Auto tune and Travis Scott. To those who are fans of the Genre we can see the nuance i what he does with that tool as well. Appreciate the channel
“Ozzy sounds just like no more tears”
It’s what we call AutoTune mike
Travis $cott is more known for making albums than singles, so hopefully he makes a full album like this.
So nice for Ozzy to help a young fella get some fame
Post has a history of metal, he has been a life long fan of Megadeth, and was part of the Metalcore scene. It shouldn't ever surprise you if he delves into Metal or collaborates with Metal artists.
I fell like this Ozzy fellow is going places. It's never too late to start.
It’s an awesome song!! Really well done!
I read teens reactions on twitter saying “Who’s this Ozzy guy, and he should thank post for making him relevant “ I wanted to seriously not live on this planet anymore Ozzy is a musical god, how dare this new generation think that post actually “put him on” or made him “relevant “ he will always be music history

I will admit, I was ready to completely dismiss you from the title. But Not only did I really enjoy your video, I genuinely feel I learned something about music / post Malone. You were knowledgeable, articulate and come across as a genuine music fan. Good stuff dude, new sub.
Travis Scott is maybe worth looking into, some of his stuff can be quite cool at times on the production side of things, he's a bit more experimental than other artists in the same genre. Also, this song apparently has Chad Smith on drums, just to add to the odd features!
Sean Craig his album RODEO is definitely worth listening to
He should react to 90210.
Rodeo is an absolute trap-masterpiece
The whole thing about post putting ozzy on is such sarcasm

FutureScrub 15 aww but I like Travis Scott
MRAWESOME739 Oof. No offense buddy. Im not a big fan on him but if you listen to him I have no problem with that. Rock on homie👌🏽🤙🏽
FutureScrub 15 I’m not sure how much you know of Travis Scott’s music but that auto tune on his voice is his whole gimmick and he uses it the best compared to all of his peers and is used the best on his album rodeo, damn good album imo, but I understand if he is not your thing
Travis is pretty decent actually, but he found success when doing more "dumbed down" rap. Check out the 2013 XXL Freshman Cypher.
Younger gen like me, this song was amazing to people like me who didn't know about Ozzy and ended up knowing of his music after this
Apparently, it was Post that recorded the guitar solo on the song, which is pretty damn impressive tbh. Chad Smith from RHCP fame also played the drums on the track.
Really good video Mike btw!
Mike, I love your phone case man.
It sounds a lot like"Close My Eyes Forever", which is Ozzy's biggest previous pop hit with Lita Ford. Probably not a coincidence.
I think those tweets were sarcastic. Not saying they were for certainty, but they really seem like they were just meming it up. Especially with the one that used all caps for "FAMOUS AND POPULAR". Also love your ability to articulate the significant musical details in the songs you review. Rock on, man!
I've said this 100 times before but I just love Post. His music is absolutely not my usual thing but I can see he puts effort into his songs and trys to be somewhat different. And even though I don't love his music all the time he's just a great person
You are best youtuber
I’m pretty sure that guitar player was post Malone since he can play guitar but I’m not sure
I wanna believe that part was Post after hearing him talk about his passion for playing Guitar, but we can’t confirm it.
The guitar is actually played by Andrew Watt.
He can play but not that good
Chad smith on drums somewhere too
Post Malone is more of a blues/country acoustic guitarist, I havent ever seen or heard of him on an electric guitar.
This is my favorite post malone song
Its also the only post malone song I've ever heard
just this morning i was thinking what you would think of this song haha
Posts roots are 🤘 metal...can hear it in allt of his tunes.
This song truly rocks
Speaking of auto tuning, the band Starset uses it a lot because they have a space theme and some other thing. That's when I feel that it fits what the band wants to make.
I will say that the guitar solo was a great surprise. I honestly think it might be Post who's playing the solo.
I wouldn't doubt if Post played the solo himself. He's actually a pretty killer guitar player. Seen him improv some on a video about his passion for the instrament, and his style is pretty similar. The moody bends and such.
Nice one Mike. "Ignorant" tweets. That's a good one. I'm not ignorant enough to not see sarcasm when I see it.
Ozzy reached out to Post to do this collab. Both are big fans of each other.
I like this enough as a bridge between likes of my own and that of my kids. It helps to introduce younger kids to Ozzy but all of my kids know Ozzy very well!! 🤘🤘

I think Post Malone is like a folk/rock singer who sings and melodically raps over pop/trap beats kind of like a modern version of early 2000s rock rap like Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit mixed with late 2000s Eminem and Lil Wayne Pop/Rock/Rap.
His songs are usually catchy as I think he encompasses a lot of music styles, he plays acoustic guitar pretty well and is an old school blues and country fan and he also is a hip-hop and rock fan and it all comes together well for him.
You hit it every time
7:13 that reminds me of when Ozzy did Therapy with the Infectious Grooves 😂
It’s a blessing in itself that Ozzy is still alive. Long live the Prince Of Darkness.
It helped me. I've never heard of this Post Malone.
I honestly enjoyed the song! I personally feel outside of Travis Scott's stuff that room for improvement would be to ditch the electronic drums mid way through the song and give it some punch with real drums as it transitions and becomes a bit more aggressive.
Nice review, I appreciated listening to it. Maybe you can review "Just Tell Me Something" by All That Remains ft Danny Worsnop. The same way you reviewed this one
