I remember your combo videos from back in the devils-lair days, alternating between poleplay and wall climbs with trickster and doing all sorts of shenanigans. Glad to see you're still at it with the style switcher. This game is timeless :D
It's an instrumental from a classic Nas song, "It Ain't Hard To Tell". But I like it because it samples the Michael Jackson song "Human Nature", which is one of my favorites and goes along with the prior song because of that connection. Thanks! 👍
@@FireStarJutsu even without the mods or graphics enhancements, if I pick up an old stock copy of DMC3/DMC3: Special Edition and played it on my PS2, I still would say the game still looks incredible especially for its time too. This might just be me as an “old man” talking but if you play the game yourself without doing any “touch ups” to it, you’d know. Just goes to show how you really can’t fix what ain’t broke and even if you try to enhance it, it just gets better and better. (I’ve always known DMC3: Dante’s Awakening is a timeless gem of a classic and truly a masterpiece. The dudes at Capcom really put up the ante with this one)
@dellebelphine-moralez3510 I enjoyed my first playthrough of DMC3 a lot, but objectively speaking, the enemy design could've been a lot better. Look at the starting Marionette enemies from DMC1. They're a lot better than the starting enemies in DMC3. They're More aggressive, deflect some of your attacks and have 3 variants. I love the game, but I think that could've been done better. Now some things that were at the time good now not that much imo are: -Style levels being tied to exp, so a lot of cool moves will be locked until you fully level up that style, which takes a ton of time + can only equip 2 weapons. These two things are meant to incentivise replayablity, but nowadays it just takes a away so much from the first experience (a problem cuz most people have a lot of games now unlike before) and, because there'll be a ton of moves you won't even know exist + you won't fully enjoy everysingle weapon and find out which one works best on what enemy and their elemental weaknesses. (The freestyle mode in the switch version fixes this) -The resident evil-ish level design with the small puzzles and such. I feel like most people nowadays enjoy the linear level structure of DMC5 more.
3:19 - 3:21 Yup. Definitely the only Style Switcher player who knows how to use Quicksilver as flair (not to mention the slight edit on the YAW). Had to check these two seconds frame by frame just to make sure I wasn't going crazy and seeing things. Thinking about the amount of inputs makes my hands hurt. That being said what did you use for those timefreeze camera spins? I've been wanting to implement something similar but never found out a proper way to do it that isn't too staged. This is OG PC Port so my guess is some kind of a camera tool? I think i have one but I haven't installed it yet. Yeah... I'm definitely taking inspiration from that.
Yes, it's a camera tool. As somebody who has looked at every video I've done as a matrix fight scene, these times are amazing. Wish I had this type of stuff back in the day lol.
@@tatsumarublack The Matrix has us all :D. Here's an idea. In the StyleSwitcher ini file you can change the colour of your special effects (stuff like Air Hike's sigil etc). I used to turn everything purple to go well with the Sparda costume but - grab one of those black dante cloak mods, make all colours green - record a freestyle then slap a green tint over it. Bonus points if you use blue tint at the end as a joke that now Dante can do this stuff "in the real world."

Comments such as these prove that it truly is. Thanks.
Great as always, and that song in the second half is seriously catchy.

That game really has aged like fine wine. Even to this day, the graphics and gameplay looks as smooth as when it first came out.
Nearly 20 years old and still incredible.
It's gotten even smoother than it came out thanks to mods

Considering that I used to have Neo as my profile pic on phantombabies.net, I might actually do that. 😂
With or without style switching, DMC3 is king and will reign as the best DMC game FOREVER!
Capcom really did up the ante with 3
Without style & all weapons switching, DMC5 has better gameplay imo.
@@FireStarJutsu DMC V is an improvement to be sure. There’s no doubt about that.
@@dellebelphine-moralez3510 I wouldn't say it is an improvement at all
Bro playing like it is dmc 4 💀
🤔... you sorta on to something.
How do you switch style on the fly
It's a mod on the PC version of DMC3SE
Can give us some tutorial how to juggle enemy only rebellion and ibony & ivory??
