Really, LS's for the last 10 years, SBC for the fifty years prior. How about a Pontiac in a shoebox two door wagon running...at all? Or a 2jz in a Fierro? Or maybe a 2014 Equinox with a big nitrous kit or two. I never thought I'd see the day when a small block Chevy was a novelty.
Me and my dad are in the works of building my first truck, I turned 15 a couple months ago. I’m building a 406 sb, with a roller cam, and it’s turboed. I’m putting it in a 1972 c10🏁😎. Gonna be my truck to drive to school and just around!
Its even better when they insist 5.7 and 350 are totally different, and oh no a 5.0 SURELY cant be a 305!! I even had to reference my 400 sbc as a 6.6L to some teens... ridiculous.
A 5.7 is 350 CI, and vise versa. The only difference is the top end which IS interchangeable (I have vortec top end on my 400sbc) and many use "5.7" bottom ends in old rigs for the roller cam, which pretty much all older tbi 350's also have provisions for. Unless your talking about an ls1 350 "5.7" which is a completely different engine.
What rear end was you running in this truck,, 12 bolt, 9” or what and where did it come from ,, I have a similar truck was thinking of a grand national floater
V12's are probably pretty darn expensive. V10 engines, from Audi or BMW are cheaper, and probably have more aftermarket parts, but still not as many parts as a big block. Space constraints, too. I bet making 1000 HP on a big block is much cheaper than 1000 HP on a BMW V10 from an M car.
is it just me or does the c10 rock back and forth more than normal when bumping in. i was thinking it might have to do with being so tall. im curious if line lock putting a little bit of drag on the front brakes would help this, then have it release on the launch with the trans break.
Dalton Michaels It rocks more probably because the spring rate is soft and the shocks are adjusted to transfer as much weight rearward where there isnt a cab, engine, front sheet metal and bumper
+MINNESOTAMOTORMOUTH a 9 second all steel truck is common, I've seen some run a 340 with twin 4s. there's also a group of racers from the north east that runs 83 - 87 f150's with a dodge diplomat police engine in it and run as fast. as far as I race, nothing anymore because it's wrecked, but it was a 1973 dodge challenger, with a built 360 putting about 1400 to the ground, also have access to another challenger I built called the sythe, 1973, with a TT 440, over 3500 to the ground.
a few2016 GTR will beat that truck in the 1/4...cuz it cost more than a $100.000 it's got AWD..traction control... modern technology...and most especially cuz I'm a Import loving fan boy... SARCASM !!!!!!!!
I like more it because it's NOT a LS lol.
Its nice to see something other than a ls in it for once

blowing through a carb i like it
Hard to beat a good 383 or a 406 especially on boost or nitrous.
BornToBeFamed those LS guys don’t understand the simplicity of that
Trucks come a long way since the days of the EBay GT45😃👍🏻
What i love about these big old trucks.... all that room under the hood
you can sit in the engine bay and work on your motor, I wish my 89 1500 chev had that much space
U know u got power when you vehicle sounds like a jet engine taking off😂👍
Thumbs up for a clean C10 that gets up and GOES outta the hole :)
That truck is goals
Saw this truck at TX2K21!
Wtf... A 350small bolck doing 9 sec my respect nice build and nice c10 bro

Are ya gonna be driving to school this year in it?
How’s the truck going?
those blow threw carbs are so hard to get right. nice truck
It doesn't seem to want to perform in the presence of G-bodies lol
We are getting to the point where the younger gen finds a Gen I & II and wonders what it is.
Its even better when they insist 5.7 and 350 are totally different, and oh no a 5.0 SURELY cant be a 305!! I even had to reference my 400 sbc as a 6.6L to some teens... ridiculous.
Well a 350 and 5.7 are different
A 5.7 is 350 CI, and vise versa. The only difference is the top end which IS interchangeable (I have vortec top end on my 400sbc) and many use "5.7" bottom ends in old rigs for the roller cam, which pretty much all older tbi 350's also have provisions for.

AKproXR stock for stock they are different as well as casting #'s
Theres MANY different cast #'s for 350 or 5.7 blocks over the years. Doesn't make them a different engine.
Nice too see a Gen-1
what size rods are you using and what brand crank do you have. i have a very similar build
So when do we get some more Cleetus episodes? 😂😂😂😂
Sweet ride!
What rear end was you running in this truck,, 12 bolt, 9” or what and where did it come from ,, I have a similar truck was thinking of a grand national floater
Is that the same truck that dynoed at MidWest Street Cars with the ebay turbo?
I have a c10 69 Chevy with a 350small block
My dad had a 64 inline 6, which has been parked for about 30 years or so with gas in the engine
+Logan Curnow congrats
Logan Curnow rip
This vid come out when I'm looking for C10. This time very intresting...
I was wondering when this truck will comeback on 1320
that truck looks bad ass when it bumps in
GEN 1 FTW!!!
Whatsup
That lightning was dope
You could tell it was "dope," by the way it got "SMOKED!"
+Mike Yerke lol
very dope
+mothertree That dope was snorted by that old Rat Chevy.
you better believe it
Nice truck but it looks like a handful in those first 100 feet. It looks like its pulling to the left when he stands on it.
is it a factory sbc or dart block?
mermaltim68 more than likely its an sbc .
Sweet Truck!
LOVE IT 👍
Why is it breaking up so bad in the 60 foot
That tire and rim set up what is it ?
Sbc for life
lovin it
AWSOME
Lightning Killer
What's his facebook?
That's sweet I went to HS with this guy
stroked the slow as ford lightning
truck mustve got a lot of play in the driveline the way it rocks back and forth on the transbrake
wow he seems to have really bad luck next to that monte carlo
What kind of turbo?
If you could get it to hook up better on the launch it would be faster
Can I the wheel and tire sizes on the rear please???
is he running leaf springs in that truck?
yeah with Caltrac bars
There is a another video called the LEAD SLED, were they show there rear-end and suspension set-up
+JohnE ONE "rear suspension swap"😂😂 with what cause I seen this truck last yr and it had caltrac bars and leafs...kinda see it in the thumb nail
Doesn't anymore watch video LEAD SLEAD and even in this video you can see no leafs, and your full of shit because the lead sled videos from 2014
+JohnE ONE he was at street car take over...I seen it it had drag leafs in it
dammmm demasia de brutal la chevy💪
I have yet to see a 9 second Ford Crown Victoria
I have seen a 9 sec Marauder. same thing?
A 9 second Crown Victoria??? In the 1/10th mile mile🤣🤣🤣
existential question, why always V8 ?
What else would you put in a c10?
No replacement for displacement
Andre Gross no... But why not a V12 for exemple ?
V12's are probably pretty darn expensive. V10 engines, from Audi or BMW are cheaper, and probably have more aftermarket parts, but still not as many parts as a big block. Space constraints, too. I bet making 1000 HP on a big block is much cheaper than 1000 HP on a BMW V10 from an M car.
Long answer short: Its cheaper. Me personally dont like most v8s.
and what size tires
I need his facebook
would love to see farm truck and him race

how do traction.
is it a 350 engine
Dr Munchies 383
Dr Munchies yeah it's a 350 with a stoker kit which advances the cubic inch of the motor to make a 383
The Monte is too intimidating.
Awesome
bad ass
He really hate that monte
Spilling fuel onto the track off the start..
Fuel evaporates quick, no worries.
nice
dope
I didn’t think a sbc could take that abuse
We all know the truck eats that monte
No we dont
+jerky187 isn't it amazing how people want to make assumptions about everything
+65 bu too many bench racers, who know everything about everything.
I poop with my socks off
I like leaving one off, one on
+VIII least I got one sock on
I have one sock on and one sock half way off, just past my heel.
+hittin-low_150db+ DAAAAAAMN
+Fapinator hhee got rekt
"No Views" Club
this is the guy that murder nova and big chump made fun of because he had a borg warner turbo on it when he had the idiot's tune it.
jojou el cheyenito
Maybe sort that tuning with some EFI ☺️
Maybe you'd like to donate that $3000? Some people won't max out their credit cards on toys.
+65 bu Remember not everybody is broke as you...
+Drew V you haven't a clue how broke I am, so are you buying this guy an EFI system then Mr. Gotsrocks?
+65 bu if you're maxing your cards on your toys you're doing it wrong.
THATS THE LEAD SLED FIX THE TITLE!!!!
Has to be the absolute slowest hole shot iv ever seen.
Because that massive turbo takes about a year to spool up...but more than makes up for it half track
click the video jus for the honda...
I have to admit ive never seen so many dumb comments then on this video.
lmao
4TH
not really that impressive.
+MINNESOTAMOTORMOUTH
