What do you think of groupies?
I think they’re great 👍 we need more of them

The title is a bit much. They are “Unrecognizable” because they got older.

@@alexdean6565 excuse me, are you doing the n*zi salute???? reported. enjoy your ban.....
Seriously!
@alexdea6565 now, now...
This makes being a groupie look cool. Damn it…why did I waste my youth going to school!!
Also. If a guy dates famous female musicians, are they labeled the same thing?
My first experience with Groupies was in 1969 in San Francisco. It was a time when America had put men on the moon, the Beatles had gone to India for enlightenment, Wood Stock had happened, and I just got off the plane from a 1-year backpacking adventure in Asia traveling through Thailand, Loas and Cambodia. I met up with some Kansas City friends that had moved to San Francisco to get into the Hait Asbury scene. While at one of my friend's home, I met 2 quite pretty girls from Rice Lake Wisconsin which surprised me since I has spent summers there as a kid on my grandparents' dairy farm.
I had heard the term Groupies but thought it was just some fantasy that writers from Newsweek made up to fill their pages but these 2 girls from Rice Lake Wisconsin were the real thing. They could not stop bragging what Rock Band that they had slept with earlier and were hoping to add another notch on their bed post after the Santana concert that they had tickets to that night. I was rather mystified what the girls were getting out of this, maybe fame back in Rice Lake.
I left San Francisco at the end of the week and hitch hike back to Shreveport Louisiana before enrolling into LSU in Barton Rouge to get my Engineering degree. That was 55 years ago, I am now retired after working all over the world as a Construction Manager for oil companies and now retired in Thailand. We Boomers seemed to have had a far more adventurous life than the today's generation Z's are having.
I say we lived in the BEST times in history!!! I miss the 60s. I was there but never did drugs- ha!
My daughter married wonderful brit and they took me to walk on Abby Road--- total thrill!!!
The era of rock groupies may have passed, but the legacies of women like Bebe Buell and Cherry Vanilla continue to shine.
Love these women!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Almost Famous is my favorite movie! I should have been a groupie but was born to late 😃☮

It's not easy being a lady
Lesson: being a rock star in the 70s kinda sucked when it came to attractive groupies.
