8 (Every) Type of Trolls Who Have Spread Fear & Destruction In The Middle Earth For Ages - Explored

- Very few beings in the Middle Earth were as feared as the Trolls. They had a reputation of being large and impervious monsters, who were perfectly cruel and strong beyond measure. However, they were definitely not the brightest lamps to light up the ages with! Trolls were infamous for their half-witted, dense way of going about things. But do not underestimate these large guys for your regular dope-next-door! In fact, it is their sluggish, one-track minds that made them the simple, always-out-for-blood villains that they were.
Through the ages, they have held several roles. They have been used for their sheer brute force in the Misty Mountains, as tidy rook and pawn battle hybrids like the Olog-Hai, to the mighty beasts of burden like the Mountain trolls.
Their lore runs deep. Aside from J R R Tolkien’s Middle Earth origins, Trolls are also rooted in Nordic Folklore and mythological accounts. But just how many kinds of Trolls are there?
Let us put your Middle-Earth knowledge to the test and explore the origins of Trolls as well as their different breeds.

#9 - Internet trolls
Yo, wassup?
What about gundabad trolls and gundabad orges they seem different to others you mentioned
Yeah I like the orges and trolls in the hobbit the battle of the five armies
they're not lore accurate. In fact in the books there is no mention of trolls within the battle of the five armies, but rather wolves
@@moal-shael7580are you dumb in the hobbit the book litterly even had a picture of the trolls
I remember bfme2 had a troll villan hero created option that was fun.
@@moal-shael7580 in the hobbit book there are trolls❔
The hill Trolls from the Hobbit were the first trolls I learned about. I always liked the idea of the smarter talking trolls. They were fun.
When I played WOW, I used a troll thief named Bill Huggins. lol
Lord of the rings got me addicted to real world troll mythology and troll movies like troll and troll hunter.
Ah yes, “Mo-Ria”
SOMETHING INSIDE OF ME DIED AFTER I HEARD THAT
definitely engagement bait, and we've fell hook, line and sinker xD
And bow rah mir
Miee nas tirith is also one (while less bad still somewhat painful)
I wanna see a troll skillfully use tree trunks as nunchucks just for a laugh. Someone should animate that.
The three named trolls in the hobbit are - by far - the smartest trolls Ever Shown in the universe.
I would like to think this was a result of the long-term effects of living in a relatively 'goodly' country… almost as if ever so slightly returning to their original, uncorrupted forms…
Tbh (non cannon) but you mentioned alot non cannon stuff, Shadow of war did the best depiction of the trolls olag hai specificially, In said game, they could tame beasts, shoot cannons, Set traps, Bombs, etc.
Except that Shadow of War intentionally made the Olog-Hai smaller so they didn’t get confused with graugs. Canonically Ologs are much bigger
@@efaucet3820 regardless best showing, they were funny or serious and def helped the game.
Mountain/cave trolls are pretty interchangeable and look almost identical in the movies and games.
It was also speculated that ologs were actually giant orcs
The trolls of middle earth are the ones that got me addicted to troll mythology. As a writer im coming up with my own troll mythology.
Your scripting is lacking. The ai slave doesn't help it sound professional either when it can't pronounce Moria.
More than likely trolls are the corruption of the dwarves created by the blacksmith God , while alive the dwarves were not given life by the light of illuvatar, but by the power of the blacksmith Arch Angel, and Morgoth probably made his own version and corrupted it into the trolls.
I've always liked the orks and trolls! And it's not because they're evil...
Me to!
Nice video 🍿 😎 📺
More like JRR Troll-kein!… I’ll see myself out
haha, nice.
Have you done different kinds of Goblins Orcs around the world or Ogers just curious?
There's also two kinds of Internet trolls. The first is the traditional dim witted troll that just says something mean.
The second is like deep sea fishing where you troll bait behind a boat trying to get the fish it bite. Same word, two meanings.
Icelantic here, huldufólk or hidden folk are not trolls. They are what tolkein based his elves on
Cool didn’t know that
Amazon’s LOTR show isn’t cannon
Gotta stop using that AI voice clone, dude. Bomarere? Moriea? Wtf?
Graug from the Shadows of Mordor games, They possibly aren’t trolls but must have contributed to their creations
740 like 👍🏻
Maria? Bowrimeer? Do you just do this to tick us off or is this how you say it? Either way, stop.
👍👍👍❤❤❤💍💍💍
5:15 is when he gets to the different types

"Eriador" wasn't Aragorn's grandfather, it was the name of the region. His name was Dirhael.
Altogether this video was obviously made by someone not very familiar with LotR.
Well, most effective in things of warfare was for me the Olog-hai at the last battle of The Return of the King. That was such a badass battle beast. Hard to top this.
River trolls from lego the hobbets one dlc
Anytime I hear smash the like button, I make sure not to. What a dumb saying.
You forgot the graug!
What about the left image in the thumbnail?
Nobody waits for rings of power
Olag are in shadow of war awesome game
Olog-Hai :)
@@kalebscott282 lol oops sorry thanks for correcting me
I usually don’t comment on videos in a bad way but this is annoying listening to. Bit voice
00:19 through 00:25 what is this troll from?
That is from the Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies
