I'm not Muslim, I'm a Roman Catholic Christian. But Shaykh Murad offers enormous and profound wisdom. I believe that every religion has wisdom to offer, and I think we all need to learn from each other. In particular, Shaykh Murad (who I always listen to) reminds us of the importance of embodied face.
I have the honor to inform you, that the universal existence of parts of wisdom is not just a general possibility for non-Abrahamic religions in Islam but even more in a particular regard a doctrinal requirement if we consider the belief in the divine origin of the initial Bible. While Islam is the last and for its ultimate purpose only integrally preserved dispensation it does not deny that crumbs of wisdom might have latched on in other dispensations. But just like a drop of poison may contamine the entire bucket of water so too can those dispensations not be called followable so as to make up for the unsoundness by partial sapiential remainders. Long story short, we by the grace of God have always engaged in cross-reference and thereby founded the science of the academic field of study that has come to be called comparative religion by a near consensus of all scholars today, though with all this the cross-referencing is predicated on the ultimate discriminatory nature of the Prophet's traditions and the Quran so as to tell the foul from the aquireable wisdoms. Lastly it need be highlighted that to traditional that is preprotestantised Roman Catholicism before the modern councils and eastern orthodoxy your lax mindset is a definite cause for anathema if not for the professional task of apology to heterodoxies requiring a theologian and a prepossessed mind. This old pervasive sense of Christian exclusivity is perhaps the reason your gut feeling motivated your friendly, communal comment. At any rate I wish you the best with kind regards, pax vobiscum.
Wow Sheykh Murad's perspective on life is so mystical and deep. He speaks with such wisdom. We need more muslim scholars like him. May Allah bless you❤
There are few people for whom you pray from depths of your heart, for their well-being, there Akhira. And InshaAllah many students like me will continue to pray for your well being Sheikh. The solace and the reaffirmation of faith that your words bring to my heart are indescribable. May Allah grant you the highest rank in Jannah. Ameen
Always enjoy listening to the maze-like journey of Shaykh Murad’s speeches sprinkled with references, history, cultures, contemporary events, authors and analysis. Soothing and inspiring to say the least.
Subhanallah alhamdulillah Allahu akbar....may Allah almighty the most high bless and protect sheikh Murad and his family in this life and the hereafter 🎉🎉
The primordial people mentioned in the Quran can be regarded as the "Hunafa," emphasizing their adherence to pure monotheism before the advent of formal religious institutions.
Ma sha Allāh. Always a pleasure to hear a perspective from Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad. Deeply and widely encompassing the human condition. A prophetic legacy. Ma sha Allāh. May Allāh preserve him & benefit us with knowledge. Allāhumma āmīn.
I really enjoyed listening to the Imam talking about the gems of the Glorious Quran and he gave us few insight of what we, as Muslims, might look for to attain in this holy month of Ramadan. May Allah grant us the success to achieve our little goals of Ramadan. Happy Ramadan to All of us. Salam and love from Kurdistan.
I’m deeply grateful to Allah for this beautiful gift - tears of joy while listening and reflecting. Thank you Dr Hany for your touching words. They really sent home to my core.
This finished too quickly (appreciate though that this is a keynote so well done on that). We should give our esteemed shaykh more time to express all of his great researches, readings and intuitions. Seemed like a great ecstatic basti talk, our Shaykh was on fire!
Walaikum as Salam ar Rahmatullah (May peace be with you too) Just finished the full video, Absolutely magnificent way of explaining & expressing the view. I felt like You just spoke what I wanted to say & I believe, Billions of Human want to say. All praises belong to HIM, Who created you and gave you courage and wisdom to make it happen. All the prise is to Allah Lord of the Univers... when Allah guides and enlightens you, no one can lead you astray. Knowledge and learning, the two virtues that lead you straight to faith, gratitude and the sharing of knowledge. The media have done everything to distract people's eyes from the truth. While they line their own pockets, they strip people of their grey matter, enslaving them to the point of not knowing what to do with their brains. Use it, the signs are before you and within you...
We have destroyed the creation, the environment we depend on for our own physical survival. Tim Winter is the only scholar I have found who is even talking about it,he continually reminds us that as Muslims we of all people should be in tune with the creation that sustains us and leading the way for others. Cheap'halal' chicken that was actually factory farmed, living short disease filled lives in excrement, never seeing the light of day, or dashing around the world on airplanes, serving the iftar on polystyrene plates and cups for landfill... these should not be acceptable practice for a Muslim.
The more problematic ages tend to be more what the programing is and religion comes in a way that expands past the ritual formats. It is certainly important to view religion as a field theory of affirming nature.
Nietzsche derived his ideas about the tragic and the comedic from Wagner. Indeed, the book mentioned by Abdal Hakim Murad "The Birth of Tragedy" was written for and dedicated to Wagner.
The right path is the religion of Islam only, because it says that God sent this man called Muhammad to all the people of the earth more than a thousand years ago, and God sent through Muhammad a miraculous book called The Quran in which God reveals that this life is a test and that people should not worship any gods except the only true God Who created everyone and everything, and not follow other religions which are wrong, and that after you die there is another life in which you will be held accountable for what you did in this life, and to be sure that Muhammad is really sent by God, God challenged the human beings including the Arabs who were so good in Arabic language more than a thousand years ago and all the people until now to try to make and bring any chapter like the chapters in Quran, but no one can do it, and that when you receive this message from God, you should accept Islam as your religion because God will not accept any religion other than Islam, and if someone believes in Islam, the person will go to Paradise in next life and live peacefully, and if someone doesn't accept the message then the person will be punished by going to Hell where the person will burn. You can also ask Muslims to know more about how miraculous the Quran is.
AssalamuAlaikum from Australia! I’m a revert of 3 months and really enough hearing you speak. Very thought provoking! Thank you

Well said. Need not to beat around the bushes or being philosophical.

No need for the pot shots at Mu'tazilites 😂, good message about re-engaging the Qur'an and keeping in mind the latest anthropological finds👍
