    if the water goes inside the phone, golden sticker becomes light blue. it's way of Samsung to find out how deep your phone went inside water

      +Rob Fassi well actually OEM can make it waterproo..*cougg* water resistant again, how? OEM like samsung and sony did check the air presure again on the phone so it will still water resistant. as note though, it may take longer since they have to sent it to the main service. i did it with my Xperia Z1. it tooke me 3 to 4 weeks but they manage to make it water resistant again.or check google how OEM bring back the IP rating.

    I may be wrong but I think the gold sticker is like a marker to see if the phone has been tampered with. I have seen a lot of devices do some variation of that. Much like ps3 had the sticker over one of the main screws to take it apart and if you did you voided the warranty. Again this is speculation from other products that had/have a simliar feature. Great videos by the way bro. Best wishes in your future endeavors.

    • @JerryRigEverything
      @JerryRigEverything  8 років тому

      +Brothers Wei Hey thanks man! I have seen those types of stickers... and usually they either fall apart, or say 'void' on them like with the XBox. This one is thicker and keeps its stickyness... so I dont think its a tamper sticker.

    I still have this phone 4 years later and it's fighting fit despite MANY drops from the kitchen side, 3 kids throwing it, bashing it, and bending it, and about 5 accidental water drops! The storage slot on it has finally kaput and now I need a new phone I have no idea what to get. I feel that any phone I get now will not match up to the durability of the Samsung S7 lol!

    with the OLED being so small, frail, and easy to destroy, what would the likelihood of a front glass replacement being successful? Would you even be able to heat the adhesive enough to separate the glass without cooking the digitizer? Just curious on your thoughts. Great videos! thanks VERY much for your efforts in this

    • @JerryRigEverything
      @JerryRigEverything  8 років тому

      +Gregg Bowers Thanks man! I dont think it will be possible for the average person to accomplish it without professional tools... Ive seen 10,000 dollar machines that are capable of amazing things. But for your normal guy with a heatgun, it'll be near impossible to do a 'glass only' repair.

    My samsung galaxy s7 has only started doing the following recently. It doesn't run out of battery when it gets to 0%. It never makes it to 0%. It randomly shuts off when i am using it. The phone could go out of battery at 30%, 73%, 56% etc. When i start up my s7 again it says that it is on 0%. This is very frustrating and instead of buying a new phone i'd rather repair this one. I have owned this phone for nearly 3 years and i bought it second hand. I want to try replacing the batter as shown in this video. Will this work??? Thank you for any help
