Her face bone structure and eyes were so beautiful, the most beautiful woman. So unique in her beauty. And her voice, the emotions in her song is beautiful ❤
@arpineh.beglaryan8743 I was reading a piece regarding Sinead's passing; about the 80's "But even in a crowd that included Tracy Chapman, Laurie Anderson and the Indigo Girls, O'Connor stood out." Iconic song and this particular performance, all the angst etc, poured out from within through her voice. Peace to who you were on this earth and now your sprit energy has nothing but peace and calmness ~ 💖
They do but because it's not one of the 'superstars' singing them, they're barely heard and remain undetected- the music industry has never been more about 'who you know' than it is these days. There's a myriad of talented singer/songwriters here on UA-cam that have barely any views.
Based on the lyricism it’s just a love song. And there are so many of those. Literally all over todays music charts. In fact it’s all artists really ever sing about. I like her tho.
Gutted, a singular talent. Its not far fetched to say that seeing her in concert was a spiritual experience. There was only one Sinead. Thank you Georgina for recognising her unique talent.
Wow. Utterly amazing. I could listen to this all day on repeat. The world is a sadder place without Sinead. God bless you. I hope you have found peace. What a talent to perform like that.
RIP precious Angel . I love her version of this song it is more heartfelt especially because she was pouring out her feeling toward her abusive mom after she passed away in a car accident when Sinéad was a young. What sucks is that her dad turned out to also abuse her . This is why she was a strong voice and went after Child Abusers😢🦋❤
Stunning vocalist and a great performer who really gave her all. She was also an extremely courageous woman who cared deeply about others. I hope she's now at peace.
Such an emotive and brilliant singer. This is how to make a cover song 100% your own - they’re Prince’s words (and what a writer he was) but it’s Sinead’s experiences, emotion and soul fully fused into it. She will be missed ❤
This song is without any doubt iconic but Sinead had so many great songs. She was so incredibly gifted. My favourite song by her has always been and will always be "Troy". It sands shivers down my spine every time i hear it.
Yes I knew it was a great song and it is just so powerful like how I love an artist to move me with their work! I just didn’t know others felt the same love for this beautiful song and how Sinead gave it her all on recording it!
When she belts out a sustained note it's like Sinead is saying, "This is what I can do.." She's a triumph and tragedy at the same time. My deep feeling is the world failed her.
(Thank You Coach… this performance was everything) More than just a singer. A truth-seeker, artist and consummate performer. Her artistry was genius level. She told the truth all those years ago, and she was mocked/derided/dehumanised. RIP Sinead. 🙏🏼💕x
An absolutely enchanting singer and brilliant artist. Her lovely soul all too poetic for this world made of lies and broken dreams. It's always the angels of truth that suffers the most. May her legacy live forever. And her precious soul rest in peace. 🖤
I checked a few different bios of Sinead's and couldn't find anything about formal musical training. And yet, after listening to this great video there's so much technique in what she's doing I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. I feel it's because of what the coach says here about being swept into the searing emotion of this great singer's performance. Sinead was a singer's singer, she found her true calling, RIP.
Such a loss. I’m glad she had such a huge hit with Prince’s song. She herself wrote and sang so many great songs. I’m glad I saw saw her live. Wondrous talent.
She went against the grain and the world never like it. She deserved so much more. To think she spent her last little time on earth in pain due to the loss of her son is unbearable. Rest easy now Sinead, you're in a place of only love now.
Amazing live vocals. Everyone knows the iconic video, I love the video. Because it is the most honest video I've seen, those tears was the absolute passion coming through. She could not hold her emotion back, those tears are real and they kept them in the video, which makes you know and feel the realness of this most brave & amazing woman. RIP Sinead, you deserve it, you will be forever missed 💔💖xx
She taught us and showed us what is wrong with this world and people did not want to hear it. Now she is being recognised as an artist in her passing. I have been a fan since 1990
It's kinda astonishing how PERFECT this song is.....Sinead's version of it. She took a perfectly written song....and delivered it...perfectly. I love how very simple it is. Just a diatonic chord progression over a very simple back beat....with a fully genuine human emoting over top in a way that cuts right to your soul. This is why I love pop music...because every so often a song is created that is just so perfect it's hard to believe we're lucky enough to even witness it. This is absolutely one of those songs.
I saw her three times. First time on Dranouter Folk Festival in Belgium (and this is a long time ago). She was headliner and performed almost three hours. First two hours with band and the last hour just Sinead ... pure voice singing hymnes, no instuments nothing but an angelic voice. If one calls something a goosebump/ethereal moment (and no, I hadn't smoked anything 'funny' at that moment 😛)., this was it! Second and third time, I saw her at the Proms in Antwerp, first concert where she opened with Troy and got a standing ovation after the first song (she even got confused and thought she had finished and came back on stage after she realised - rememberable moment) and then with Simple Minds. Simply Mind(s) blowing. RIP dear Sinead, no-one should ever have to go through so much pain.
Thanks Georgina for this lovely tribute. A rare, beautiful , courageous, unique yet troubled soul who will never be forgotten. Codladh sámh I measc na n-aingeal Sinead. Sleep soundly amongst the angels. Rest in Peace ✨💗
Very very talented, intense intelligent lady. Difficult at times, having a troubled life. I hope she finally has peace and happiness now and is being reunited with her son. She deserves it.
Ozzy, Vince Neil, Peter Gabriel and Sinead had two different voices come out at once within their "normal" singing voice. I believe that is why they stood out as they did. Just listen to any lyric they sang. It's not a doubling trick.....it's somehow in the frequencies they deliver. It just carries so much emotion that it overwhelms you. Subtle but immeasurable all the same.
