In the 90's they were starting to show up in harbors in U.S. there was a ad in Professional Mariner that said - " If it had anymore moves - it could play professional football " . They are AMAZINGLY AJILE and what a pleasure it is to pilot one .

Good morning friend. It's amazing. What saltwater can do to a ship. I've seen on that show deadliest catch where a big wave will twist steel like it was made out of taffy. Amazing I actually don't know much about chips. I'm able to look up information briefly before the ship arrives.

Hey Jamie. Email I have only seen two other car carriers come through the channel and that while I was in line to catch the ferry to come over to the island several months ago. I believe this is the first time I've caught one in the channel at the South Jetty. Always enjoy your videos.
I love watching the ships come and go...so amazing to see....I used to work at the store that provided provisions for a lot of the big board...they would buy thousands of dollars in food...they ate very well... ;)

I was eating at Virginia's At The Bay one night with my (then) fiancé and we were right by the water. We were able to see one of the largest oil rigs moving through this area after being constructed by Brown and Root. It was about the size of a small town and had story after story after story. Massive and massively impressive.
Virginia's in some of the other restaurants offer a great view of the ship channel. I have 10 or 12 video showing those structures coming through the channel. It's always pretty amazing. Hope you're doing well and having a great day.

They were like that last time I was there they actually had some waiting turns to come in
If you look on one of those apps, you can see there's usually 10 to 25 ships out in various holding patterns. Some of them stay out there for weeks.
