OG attendee, and this year was more refined. There are a few rough edges, but generally it was still a good time - Especially to geek out with the other hobbyists.
The Martin login room was actually pretty cool with the atmos music. I still am not sold on the electrostatic design for home theater/music both. But the sounded very clean. And I liked the anthem for processing. I thought it really put sounds all over the place. And I don’t day “root” that doesn’t seem like the correct word when I say route I think I was in the svs room just before you came in lol. That dude in the orange was sitting next to me. I thought the svs speakers were not energetic enough for my taste. I was expecting more power coupled with finesse with the tweeter. It did sound very good without subs. Hit very low. But I have a JTR and svs sub. So I won’t need any more low end. I was very very impressed with the focal kantas in the other room.
Our living rooms don't come close to the size at MWAVE. Difficult to make an intelligent purchasing decision as a smaller space demo is what is called for.
Those martin logans look like the tower of power. Did they do any HT on those? I know everyone makes a big deal about placement of those, because they are dipole, but the back wall seems like 50ft away with the way they set it up. Wondering how those logans sounded like in the middle of the room, no backwall for dipole reflection.
Who attended MWAVE 2024? Was this your first time or are you an OG attender? What are your thoughts on the show?
Say it not like root but like, raut (rout/rawt) "Route" So yup, the second time you said it is correct!

Agreed! This year was much better. Better rooms, better engagement

I think they were only doing Atmos music.
