these look epic. PLEASE make more dessert recipes--specifically vegan butterfingers and twix! I know you are Thee Burger Dude, but I think you'd crush the dessert game as well. Thank you!!!
Chick-o-sticks are vegan (says right on the package) and have got to be 90% of the way to a butterfinger. Make it happen Burger Dude, our children’s Halloween party depends on you! On another note, Halloween is such a bummer for vegan kids, hardly anybody participates in passing out candy these days, and vegan kids get to eat like 15% of what they collect. I promise your effort in these videos influences not just our family’s meals, but our memories! Much love!
@@katiehuynh03 I think the difficult part about making a Twix would be the cookie. I assume they use vegan chocolate and date syrup for the top half of the Twix but the cookie is equally important.
When I was a kid, white chocolate was my favorite. I recently found vegan white chocolate chips at Walmart! Who knew?!? I can't wait to make White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies and I'll try these out too.
@@jaed9297 it's their organic allergen free "great value" brand. First time I had ever seen it, so I'm not sure if all Walmart's have it. It's just like I remember white chocolate...very vanilla in flavor, rich and sweet.
Watching this clip while being a bit hungry in the middle of the night was damn stupid idea ;) Well done pal - Classic and White version are on my list to make.
Just as some creative feedback. I have made peanut butter cups in the past and I thought I would pass on a little trick that worked for me. Liner muffin tin and put it on a sheet pan, then pop it in the freezer for 15 minutes. Add your bottom layer of chocolate to the lined muffin tin. While holding the muffin tend to the sheet pan tilt the sheet pan by approximately 30° and rotate in a circle. This will have the effect of lining the edges of your cupcake with chocolate. Put everything in the freezer for a few minutes and make your peanut butter discs. Add the peanut butter discs and top off with chocolate. Then allow it to cool.
It’s helpful to let the bottom & sides set up before adding the PB. Also, add some shortening to the chocolate to keep it soft-ish, like a Reese’s. (Love using freshly ground, old fashioned PB, personally. Perfect consistency when adding the sugar & a bit of salt.)
Reece's pieces cups were my all time favourite American chocolate. You've no idea how amazing this ridiculously simple recipe is. It's freaking 3 ingredients for the classic! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......, Must try.
FANTASTIC! You make it look so easy! I’m gonna have to try this recipe soon. I also make UA-cam cooking videos. I love learning from talented creators like you!
These look great! I do find Justin’s cups enjoyable but a little filmy? Not sure how else to put it. They sorta leave a coating in your mouth when you eat them.
I tried out this recipe and it turned out so good! Powder sugar made a big difference. Matcha is the best. I was lazy, so I just melted white chocolate, added matcha powder and mixed well.
I am so happy I have found your channel. Last year I tried to make homemade peanut butter cups, and it was such a mess. It was the peanut butter... It's so simple! Powder sugar! This year I will move forward for this Halloween. Thank you so much!
OMG! Those looked a lot easier than I thought they would! Thank you for making me laugh as always. Maybe you can try a Snickers? THAT might be a challenge Thank you so much! LOVE your channel!
Thank you so much for the Reese's. I am looking forward to giving them a try and bathe in delicious memories. Kinder Chocolate bars would be a highlight for our family for upcoming Xmas. My sons loved it so much, but since we are all vegan we have never had the chocolate bars - and we miss them.
I drive a tractor trailer for a living, so I have come across Justin's brand cups. However, your video has got me salivating! I would be very grateful if you could create a vegan version of my all time favorite chocolate bar... 3 Musketeers!!!
You could always try to mix in some freeze dried fruit powders, like you could blend up strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, pineapple, rose petals, etc., and mix them into the chocolate part, any of them, the white, regular chocolate, and matcha...or mix it into the middle part...Another option for the middle could be some nice coconut filling...i have never actually used orange or lemon peel, but that might be an option...🌿
3 musketeers, m&ms and cookies and cream hersheys were always my favs! oh and tootsie rolls! those are hard to come y in vegan options they would be cool to see u make!
I was an almond joy and mounds girl, but Three Musketeers was a favorite, too! I like the idea of matcha in the white chocolate. I'll have to try it. I actually don't like it in most desserts; I think It's best on its own or in green smoothies. The taste is so strong, but I like how it doesn't seem to have taken over in your frankie version. Trader Joe's has an almond butter cup (or used to), that's really good. I've tried making them and they are really good, but the almond butter has to be really really tasty
@tHaT vEgAn cHiCk , I think we're getting there! So many vegan versions of 'regular' foods are available now. I remember the old days of driving around to little natural shops all over L.A. looking for vegan stuff, lol. Now I do the same, but online :D Plus, all the awesome vegan content of vegan blogs and channels like this one really help.
Go Max Go Foods’ “Cleo’s” V-PB cups (available in both white & milk choc) are to die for! Agreed, Justin’s are a little too “health food” tasting; GMG have taken quite a few of the OG candy bars mentioned in this thread, and absolutely nailed veganized versions.
Since it's Christmas I'm going to make these but I'm going to bring it up a notch by also adding a bit of fruit jelly. :) Grape or strawberry should work quite nicely.
@@TheeBurgerDude Thanks! It's chocolate and peanut butter. There is no way to screw that up. Even if I wind up making a big mess, it'll be a delicious mess. XD
Just made these. Great little treat. I always loved peanut butter cups. Used Laura Scudders natural peanut butter. To let you know, using 1 tsp of melted chocolate in the bottom of 10 muffin papers, I used up the entire 4 oz of chocolate chips I had melted (I used TJ brand just like you). I needed to melt another 4 oz for the topping of each cup, so in total needed 8 oz of chocolate. I second the vote for a vegan Butterfinger. Another one of my favorites was the Whatchamacallit. Seems a lot of candy bars are easily veganizable, since often if they didn't contain "milk chocolate" they would be vegan anyway. Couldn't these companies have made vegan versions of all their candy bars long ago? Wonder what the resistance is to making non-dairy versions of the bars available. I think I once read somewhere that candy bar manufacturers are hand in glove with the dairy industry, so I guess that could be the obstacle? They don't want anyone to get the notion that anyone would even CONSIDER eating a candybar without milk!
I just ordered myself some vegan chocolate bars today! The Mahalo from Go max go is my guilty pleasure as I do eat WFPB most of the time, but Bounty bars were my jam and chocolate bars in general. The go max go brand are very good if you don't want to make em. A chocolate bar like candy I'd like to request you make is the Cherry Blossom.
Don’t know if I should make this or just move to the opposite side of the country, buy multiple Halloween costumes, and trick or treat at your house over and over again until I go into a diabetic coma or you call the cops.
Hey y'all.. I'm a little late to the party, but here's a tip for any time you need a double boiler from Alton Brown that I've used and had less risky results with. Alton Brown's improved double boiler: Get a pan with reasonably high sides like a sauté pan and put a folded in half kitchen or hand towel in the bottom then put enough water in it to come 1/4 of the way up the side of the bowl and turn the heat on low to steam the water and melt or slowly cook whatever is in your bowl. With this method there's less risk of water somehow finding its way into your bowl which can be disastrous if you're melting chocolate. You can also keep a much better eye on the water temp this way.
Hey TBD! I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I would really love it if you made this dish from KFC called "Popcorn Chicken". I've been longing to eat it for years now, It would really make me happy if you would. Thanks!
