If you are taking substances, you know the risk. Why spend taxpayer dollars on essentially giving addicts a license to continue using? I cannot comprehend how this helps society as a whole. If you do not want to die from an overdose, do not use drugs. Very simple. Logical. Wouldn’t it be more prudent to put the funds into mental health services or addiction treatment even?
