I can not find a sharp needle that will fit size 3 crochet thread, any suggestions? I'm about ready to pull my hair out haha
You need a leather needle. It’s sharp and has a big enough eye. Look on Amazon for a pack.

How large is the square you’re using?
The block is approximately 12”x18” here. I used it for demo purposes because it’s the same process, but I made a table runner with it.
