I’ve met women who shoot better than me. I’ve met women who I’D TRUST to make decisions and shoot better than me in a tight spot. I’ve NOT YET met a woman who could carry me off the battlefield. Not a statement of merit, but simple physiology.
The men still outperform.... ...vastly. -Marine Infantry. Naw, bro hate to tell it to you but having seen female marines, yeah....seriously...its not a good idea. Nothing against women, i just in all my years in the marines. I NEVER....saw a female marine best a male infantryman physically, and my marine sisters are as women goes, serious fucking badasses....okay, and I never saw them do it....not if you're NOT a female marine...yeah you're probably not gonna measure up... Mentally absolutely. But math won't save you when some asshole is sticking a knife into your guts. I mean lets not also overlook that you're actually okay with putting females into combat situation where capture USUALLY ends up in non stop rape, abuse, and torture...just so you can feel like you're doing #equality on the internet. You people are warped.
I think a good one would be invasive species and how they effect the environment. It's a real issue in different places here in the US I'd like to see if it is in other places around the world as well.
I don't understand how people have suddenly become blind to the obvious physical differences between male and female. Muscle mass and bone structure are different. The weight that warriors carry and the distances they have to walk/run/ruck - yes there are a few women that can do that but how many women can pick up their 230 pound male buddy (plus their gear) and carry him to safety while still retaining her own 60-70 pounds of gear. I'm all for a women centric special operations group that would have different mission sets but just as important role in the war effort and there are plenty of missions they could do. There are already women doing these things but they haven't been given the official title of Tier 2 operators. I think they should form up officially and give them the title and respect they deserve.
You know the man being interviewed alluded to this... This thing called the CrossFit games. Have you seen it? If so you will come to realize that there are many women that would have no problem hauling a 230 lb male plus gear. Also why is that the standard? According to the US Army you need to either be very tall or have a very thick neck otherwise you will be rated as obese and not fit for duty. There are a lot more than a few women who are capable of doing these tasks. There are 9 billion human beings on this planet and roughly 4.5 billion of them are women. If 1% of 1% of women could do that job that would still be 450,000 women. A literal army of capable women. Women come in all shapes and sizes with many different mental states. I know I have Chinese half Samoan woman who would fight you over your statement regardless of your gender. She grew up in a family full of Dwayne Johnson's and nobody treated her like a dainty little thing.
@@john2g1 Yes I am well aware of Crossfit. I sometimes watch the competitions on UA-cam. There are separate categories for male and female which I could say supports my position as much as yours. If you put all 20 of the competitors men and women together it would be the very rare woman that would rank in the top 3. And as I said in my original statement. I do think women should be included in the Spec Op community but the physical standards shouldn't be lowered to fit into the existing units. I still feel making spec op units that are geared toward the great assets women bring to the world at large makes more sense. I feel in some ways we do women a dis-service by telling them that they should try to be more like men and fit in that mold. There are spec ops units currently that have opened themselves up to women - so far only 1 or 2 women have actually passed and I don't believe any are actually serving in those spots yet.
I thought of this a bit later. I raised my daughter to be an independent woman. She knows how to fix basics, can change a tire, knows how to change oil (but chooses not to), has fixed her own toilet, etc. I said something to her a month ago about how nice it was her husband knew how to fix things, take care of cars, do remodeling, etc. And she being in a bad mood replied "I can do all of that myself I just choose not to " An hour later when the 2 of us couldn't get the sprinkler head off the garden hose and her husband came out and just unscrewed it with NO effort . . . well, let's just say I was laughing inside though I wisely kept my thoughts to myself. lol
@Guy Faux The Maddest Hatter I agree but he did go on to say he isn't against women having there own branch of special forces because there are places where a woman would be more effective just not in existing branches.
@Guy Faux The Maddest Hatter I'm sure there is ways to utilize an all women team. I don't think they should be able to go into the seals or rangers. I'm sure there are ways they can make a successful women's teams of some kind that guys was a seal and even he said there are places a woman would be more efficient in some ways. I can't give a specific example but I'm sure they could find a place for them on there own teams.
Natural male's instinct tells to protect woman and child, so no it is unnatural and potentially dangerous to mission. Woman should not be involve in direct combat, no matter how skill they are.
If they can 100% pass the same selection process as the men then let them do the job, but honestly I doubt we'll see a woman make it through BUDS. A group that builds to the strengths of women would be good thing. Women in the military is a good thing. Especially pilots, women are awesome pilots! Ignoring the physical differences of women and men is ridiculous. Just look up Fallon Fox and their UFC bouts prior to actually telling people they were transgendered. They weren't the best fighter, but were obliterating women who were at peak fitness because muscle mass and bone structure are a thing.
real men always want to protect women and children. its hard to focus on killing terrorist trash ,who target women and children, while a women is carrying a 80 lb pack and being shot at. women run the world,we truly love and honor women. ppl with these ideas dont.
I got to break down every one of his incorrect arguments and his 1 correct thought. I just hate it means I have to listen to him all over again: 1. Stop crossing Women and Transgender as through they are the same thing. 2. Every military fighter is an experiment who is untested until lives are on the line. The we/they don't compete in the Olympics before we go off to war. 3.False equivalency comparing men and women... There is a military standard for running 2 miles. At the top is 6 mins per mile and at the bottom is 8.5 mins. I am in the 7 min range but when it comes to carrying heavy weight for hours through tough terrain I am fast and for longer time than most of my peers. Either a woman meets the standard or she doesn't. The top female olympic sprinters are faster than the slowest men that still qualify to compete. 4. There's a reason why combat sports have a weight class. There is a reason why Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather and not the equivalent of Mike Tyson today. He would have been seriously outclassed. If a woman weighs 110 lb then she would compete in the 110 lb division. 5.The reason why there is an outcry for coed combat sports is because as a society we have been trained to view a man hitting a woman as incorrect. We consider solving our problems with violence incorrect as a society as well but for some reason we find it okay for sport so long as it is the same gender. 6."It causes problem" so because some man disagrees with the woman's choice to be intimate with the partner/s of her choosing it's a problem? This is a very old and stupid argument that I can't believe he used. In the military it is taught to run straight to death/danger if that is what is required but somehow that same discipline can't be applied to keeping your mouth closed and your pants on? 7.Correct there are many situations where it's advantageous to be a woman. There was even a class I attended on dressing/moving as a woman to evade capture. But that's the whole point when government intelligence needs to investigate a group (let's say neo-group) they don't go to their white people division. They find an investigator with the training and proper look. Same thing for women... No need to keep a women division just choose from the qualified women available. 8.Does it make us more effective? Well considering this: In the US only 1% of the population joins the military and of that less than 10% join Special Operations. Women make up roughly 50% of the population. Generally speaking society discourages women from this type of life but 1% of 1% of women is still significantly more than 0%. So yeah anything that get the job done is better than nothing. These are the same stupid arguments they were applied to Blacks (African Americans) in the military. The US had a civil war and more bodies were needed. Just like this guy the decision was made for a separate Black military because of "problems". It stayed for another 100 years. Shame on us if a global war + 100 years have to happen before men and women are treated equally.
I’ve met women who shoot better than me. I’ve met women who I’D TRUST to make decisions and shoot better than me in a tight spot. I’ve NOT YET met a woman who could carry me off the battlefield. Not a statement of merit, but simple physiology.
