repositioning in between auto-attacks is my #1 way of spotting smurfers in herald lol
you should really be in the main panel of a dota cast. like you can be in the floor with people who analyze before and after the game and i can also see you beside the main dota caster looking for fights he missed. like you can be beside odpixel

Super helpful. I knew about animation canceling but didn’t really understand how it worked i.e. the “cool down” on attacks
I think its worth mentioning specific cases where canceling is disproportionately beneficial (mars spear+rebuke cancelling spear pushback) and detrimental (right click into tag team is worse than tag team into right click)

Interesting you can cast a spell in the cast backswing but not attack in the attack backswing. Cool video!
Good content, attack->cast->attack is super vital especially at level 1. Shadow shaman is terrifying at low levels.
these tricks can also save you when its clutch 1v1 early game harass with supports. just use salve when waiting for everything to end and it sometimes will save you

While it doesn't change your point, the backswing isn't necessarily the same as the 'down time' between attacks (which is determined by BAT and attack speed, not the animation). As an extreme case, CM doesn't actually have backswing on her attacks, but she still has to wait for the full attack time to pass before she can attack again.
You are totally right. I was debating if I should delete the video earlier today when I realized I shouldn't have called it the backswing duration that determines the time you have til you can attack again. I left it up since like you mentioned, the point of the video wasn't really about backswing but about doing something right after the Attack/Cast Points, but I think I'll try to do a follow up video soonish correcting it

How does general attack time works with attack point and backswing?.. Backswing would be definitely a part of an attack time, and there would be a time were hero is just afk - he finished backswing, but his attack is still having "CD"... But what about attack point?.. I guess this "CD" starts after it's finished, because you can spam stop S and skills are not going into CD, but does this mean that your hero general rate of attacks depends not only on Attack Time stat but also on the attack point as well ?..
I think I'll need to do a small follow up video about attack speed soon to clarify some stuff from this video (which would answer your questions. I mispoke a bit, it's not really the backswing duration that determines when you can attack again but rather your Base Attack Time and Attack speed.
For now, my understanding is that BAT determines what you can do, like 1.7 attacks per second. But then there's an equation that uses attack speed to reduce that amount. Attack Speed reduces Attack Point and Attack Backswing. Your actual amount of attacks per second is determined by BAT and Attack Speed. Attack Point doesn't really affect that, but it's more like it affects how it feels to get off an attack if that makes sense
