    Pro tip: mix the joint compound with PVA glue to make it stronger and so that it doesn’t powder off easily after its dry.

    I use dental tools for cleaning out small spaces making lines etc. they are available and not expensive, in fact I think I got mine at harbor freight. You are very talented, keep up the good work.

    Do you have an estimate of the drying time before I can add additional coats of paint to the bricks?

      Acrylic paints dries in a few minutes, but you can begin blending your colors while the paint is still wet.

    Can we use plastic Paris instead of giant compound

      I've never used plaster of Paris so I don't know what kind of results you'd get. I would try a small section to test it.
