I saw a hurtful comment saying she's the worst singer among Purple Kiss but I think her lower tones are so charming! She can still improve her technique and find a comfortable range but she sounds great to me 👏🏻
jieun could be the 3rd or tied with chaein in case of purple kiss's vocal,she just need a little bit trained and rbw should give her more line so people would recognize her voice too
I can say that it's because she now lost her confidence. During produce48, she was beaming with confidence (even after the show ended). But during solar's boss in the mirror, when she was "reprimanded", her confidence started to decline. So, I hope that she can recover from that.

People tend to think that people who are able to sing high notes are better singers. When the truth is that the delivery is what matters the most, so she needs parts of the songs that suits her tone. Unfortunately for her, k-pop thrives in high pitched songs and people with a low toned voice tend to be directed to train as rappers. In my opinion, this is such a waste, since people with these kind of voices add amazing texture to songs. So I'm happy that she stuck with singing, because I'm sure that in no time Purple Kiss will have a song in which her tone will steal the show.
@@DJ-tx3ux their not sticking to a concept… I mean they do have a little horror in their comebacks but it mixed ‘zombie’ gives cute and horror . And ‘memem’ gives a girl crush and very little horror to it.
She's on the same level with Goeun, she wouldn't have been sent to PD48 with her if she wasn't good as her. It's just her confidence level went down when mentors only polished Goeun and ignored her, and RBW made her think she'll debut as a lead vocalist then snatched her out of the vocal line.
Jieun deserves lines like Jisoo in Kiss and Make Up and lines like Yuqi from (G)-idle. She would suit those parts so well. Her lower register is literally to die for
I really think she can be the main visual. Her singing is good too and dancing! Maybe because PK has a lot of really talented girls. Hope they get all spotlight.

sometimes I really hate rbw for making their artists so insecure that their singing starts wavering. we all know that's what they did to moonbyul. I'm fairly certain they did the same to jieun. what do they have in common? oh that's right, lower registers. both of them are trained vocalists and are amazing at it too. But their lack in confidence (which i believe comes form the company, is detrimental to them, and i hate it, it makes me mad. Jieun has such a beautiful voice, it's genuinely one of my favourites in Purple Kiss, and it's unique. She used to exude so much confidence when she sang, and her lines were fantastic. I don't know what happened but something changed. I wish we could get these vocals into their current songs, and are even and fair line distributions really too much to ask??
Her voice is actually perfect for an acoustic type of album, soft but with natural diction and not forcing any additional breathiness. Sadly that’s not really a niche in the kpop market, but her actual vocal colour is beautiful.

I think she's good.. but the problem is that they are comparing her to other girls in her group like Swan who is the heavenly standard in all Kpop and not just her group which is not fair in my opinion ..
I think it is way too early to say she is a bad singer. She has a pleasant sounding voice and is a trained singer after all. I would agree that she has room to grow but that's fine. Very few kpop idols start out with excellent vocals. OK OK, so there is Mamamoo, but you know what I mean...
