The simplcity of this performance speaks volumes! The violin is the crying of the human soul and the soprano vocalize the longing. Such voice is a blessing to mankind. Well done!!
Ooh, woow Raha, you drive my 20 years old daughter crazy with your voice. She says she will meet with you some day and the two of you shall sing and ask God Almighty to bring heaven and earth together. You are a star!!!!!!
Wow!! I'd never heard Raha before, but I have a new soprano to follow. What a clear, beautiful voice! and can we say PERFECT diction? You could understand her a mile off -- wonderful!
Blessings from Taiwan 🇹🇼😇🧧💖🥰 What a BEAUTIFUL song 💖 to REMIND us that our redeemer lives so we will have ETERNAL HOPE 😇🥳 Hope EVERYONE will VISIT Taiwan when the pandemic is over. 🇹🇼🥳
Wondrous performance, such artistry! And beautifully recorded. I always wonder why a few people inevitably give a “thumbs down” to a video like this. What planet are they on???
45. Air Soprano I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And though worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. (Job 19: 25-26) For now is Christ risen from the dead, the first fruits of them that sleep. (I Corinthians 15: 20)
I had never heard of Raha Mirzadegan. I shall look out for her in future. A warm and powerful, yet controlled, voice A song full of religious significance delivered from the heart without self-indulgent grace notes. I found it looking for a version to be played at a dear friend's funeral. My ideal is Isobel Baillie, but her 1941 recording has poor sound quality; Joan Sutherland and Kirsten Flagstad were too cold and over-theatrical; Amanda Powell's is a great recording, ruled out for a proliferation of grace notes in the last section; Marlotte Van 't Hoff let down by her inability to pronounce "liveth" (livet") and "the" (de"). I think I may have discovered a new ideal, and bravo to the musical director and instrumentalists.

That violinist made her instrument sing like a human voice. So strong, so emotional.
You make Handel proud -- all four of you. Thank you for such a moving performance of this beloved aria.

This is the first time I have heard Raha. Such a powerfully pleasant voice. Beautiful all around.
