I hope they immediately work on the Encanto and Coco attractions and give Dinosaur a little longer run. Just for the fact - if they completely close down Dinoland? Then there will be even less to do in AK. If they can get Coco up in running in the amount of time they did Tiana’s Bayou Adventure- while building Encanto. It won’t feel like an eternity waiting for them to complete that area.
It would be awesome if the new animatronic bears for the new country bear jamboree revamp would be the same quality that's used for the princess Tiana ride. Besides if your gonna revamp a fan favorite attraction it only makes sense to go all out.
Some of the animatronics on Splash Mountain, at least the Disneyland iteration, date back to the 1970s. Many of the characters, such as the gospel singers on the riverboat, were recycled for Splash Mountain after America Sings closed. Other bird-like characters from America Sings were reworked to make the worker droids in the queue area of Star Tours.
The animatronics look great! I wish the story was different and we could get a facilier appearance though. I think overall I am just said to see disney going the way of fully IPs and losing out on so much of the creativity that made the parks so special. we have lost so much of the old Hollywood (MGM) studios too that the concept of the entire backlot in DCA going to avatar feels a bit sad to me too. maybe I’m just old and nostalgic lol

That song would have been great on the lift hill. “Are you ready?!” While youre going up, plus all the great projection effects they could do with his shadows, the shrunken heads and drummers. Its sad to not see it here, even if all they showed off today was great

Didn’t the original Splash Mountain have over 70 animatronics? While 30 is still a sizable number, that is cutting the amount in half. The figures they have created look fantastic though!
Animatronics look amazing. Let's hope they upkeep them and they work better than the Avatar animatronic. It will be very disappointing to ride through this and have a quarter of the animatronics not working or looking really bad or slow.
No, he’s part of the mountain’s structure, they could have fixed him years ago but they’d have to dismantle the mountain and close the attraction for about how long it took to build it in the first place.
You said that the Splash Mountain audio animatronics figures were from the 80's and 90s. The AA figures at Disneyland at least, are from the early 1970’s, most likely manufactured by MAPO in 1972 to be ready for the June 1974 opening of America Sings. America Sings was closed in 1988 due to declining popularity in part so that Tony Baxter could reduce the soaring costs of the way over-budget Splash Mountain project by repurposing its large cast of AA figures for the new show. redressing them for the new theme and using them to make the best use of the movements they were originally designed to perform. When the attraction proved to be tremendously popular in Anaheim, projects to duplicate the attraction at Tokyo Disneyland and Magic Kingdom were quickly greenlighted. Since Disney was fresh out of America Sings to plunder its Audio Animatronic treasures new figures were required. But significant savings could be enjoyed by building copies of the original figures using the same specifications and molds. These new figures would perform the same roles as their Disneyland forebears, so there would be no need to enhance them.
Wow, incredibly impressed at the animatronics, they are so quick with a great range of motion. The only thing I want, which it looks less and less likely, is some version of Dr. Facilier. Either way, hyped at the possibilities of other rides/franchises getting this level of care.

The most amazing thing about these animatronics isn't the speed or fluidity, which is impressive. What's incredible is that these machines have to run reliably approximately 12 hours a day, every single day. I would love to know more about how these robots are maintained.

I'm so excited for the future with Disney now things are progressing! the animationics look fantastic for Tianas I think it will look beautiful combined with screens, also the filing if permits for BBT have me excited and really hope they just focus on a large villains land in the outskirts of the MK. the 3d animation also looks great for the TA at AK, all this more than makes up for a 5th gate! Extra capacity is what was needed for MK 😊

(Of course, she needed Prince Naveen's money to make her dreams come true, but - shhhhh - we don't talk about that). Having worked in the industry: - animatronics are looking great, but the cost to keep them running is going to be insurmountable (Translation: don't expect any discounts on tickets) - Beyond Big Thunder & Tropic Americas I'm conflicted on, still. Yes, the timeline will take time, and I get and am fine with that, what I'm not sure on is the selection of their focus in attractions with the scope of work, let alone the naming conventions. I'm fine with Indy Jones, depending on where the story goes. I'm really hoping that at AK the land will have a LOT of animal attractions. There's just such vibrant options of wildlife to represent that continental choice (tropical birds, frogs, snakes (as much as I hate them), New World monkeys, capybaras, giant anteaters, and JAGUARS! I'd love to see some Jags finding a healthy habitat home). Plus, it's Animal Kingdom. - Pandora, that's such a SMALL area of land for such a big idea. I kindof think it would fit better over in the Grizzly mountain area, but that would definitely mean losing a lot of iconic attractions in the area. I'm fine with Pandora going NOT in the disneyland park but in california adventure. I just feel like it's going to have to be a taste of pandora rather than a full fledged land, and it's going to be suffocating to experience. I already cannot afford Disney, let alone the suffocating crowds. I just desperately hope that the ride is definitely exploring all the movie world-building options, but after Star Wars only being the same land, I don't expect this.

Not gonna lie when I heard him talking about the 7ft alligator and how fast they move. I started wondering about that foundation lol. But I’m extremely impressed with these Animatronics.
The alligator is sitting on a base that is separated in the video. The alligator moves up and down separately from the base it seems..reducing movement impact

Have they said whether or not the Tropical Americas will also add some more animal exhibits? If they add that, I would care even less about the more fantastical non-animal rides being added. And I consider the animal exhibits to be attractions, too.

There was already The Imagineering Story from the creators of The Pixar Story; both as a book and as a Disney Plus Original. I will see The Imagineering Story during my marathon to begin a new life with Disney Plus.
Tiana may be the last cartoon Disney Princess character, but she is good to celebrate Black History Month with, including Cobra Bubbles, Penny, Suga Mama and Oscar Proud, Asha and Joe Gardner.
I think the beyond Big Thunder project is a mistake. Magic Kingdom already struggles with crowds greatly when it comes to Happily Ever After and the entrance/exit due to Bay Lake. The lines to get on the monorail and the ferry boats at the end of the night are a nightmare. Once they build this it will increase park capacity without solving those two issues.
What are rumors regarding virtual queue and/or ILL for TBA when it opens? If so will that mean removing virtual queue from Tron and/or ILL from Seven Dwarfs?
Booooo!! The lift hill and final drop shouldve had dr facilier singing friends on the other side as you go up. Life can be scary, so there should be a few scary moments on this ride in particular. Just like the vultures in the original splash mountain. More let downs from modern disney....typical.
I love the new animatronics; they make the characters look real and stylized for the future. If more are made like that, we can interact and have fun with them as well as go anywhere with them. It can even work if the special effects machines were born to bring everything fictional into real life like a tennis veteran's young avatar clone and the elemental titans from Spider-Man: Far From Home.

I really hope it is a great ride. I have gone through the stages of grief for Splash Mountain and I do hope Tiana is a great ride. I won’t go on it. I just hope it takes masses of guests away from Tron so Tron becomes a stand by queue .

Projection mapping is a jolly rogers move if not done correctly.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure's name resembles Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure's name and it appears to be going brilliant.
I hope they officially announce the Villians Park at WDW during D23. Fingers crossed.
The animatronics are all looking great! I’m quite excited for all the music and celebration also. I always knew this re-theme was going to be great! I don’t understand why so many are against it until now.
I really hope it is a great ride. I have gone through the stages of grief for Splash Mountain and I do hope Tiana is a great ride. I won’t go on it. I just hope it takes masses of guests away from Tron so Tron becomes a stand by queue .

Everything looks pretty good except the little boy animatronic that needs work in my opinion
