You need to be willing to crack and cut the shoe. Cut it in the areas it hurts and throw the materials away. It gives it a worn and used seasoned look.

I can understand everything you're saying about this shoe but why is the outsole a big deal? Is anyone going to pay attention to the bottom of a shoe design and the icy gradient look? I might glance at my SB 3.0s, or my gatorades (yeah I'm the ONE person who bought them) but over all the bottom of my shoe isn't that big of a deal. I trust your opinion on the upper not being as comfy though and as a wearer of AJ 1s yes THAT is an issue. I guess we will have to see what 2020 brings. Hopefully Jordan will listen and get it right. I gotta say, I think that this shoe really shines as an art piece more than as a shoe. It's a beautiful, yet subtle look, and I actually think the outsole pairs really well with the upper's iridescent shine. My worries are that: A) They'll keep the upper in this 3M/vinyl/whatever material and not release more normal colorways, leading Nike to possibly take the zoom unit out misguidedly (like you said in the video) and/or B) They're going to keep the outsole the same blue/purple color instead of making it monochrome, which would obviously mess with the look of colorways that aren't as compatible with those colors) I REALLY want JB to start making more Zoom Air Jordan 1s, especially since they don't make the outsole look any different, but if they keep doing the whole 3M and gradient thing I feel like Nike's going to give up on the Zoom Air since people aren't going to buy them over OG pairs.

Does the upper not fee like a clamp on your foot? My pair is so uncomfortable on top and creases after the first step. I don’t mind creases, but I want it to come naturally and not after one step
marcus call you have to go a half size up because the Zoom Cushion lifts your foot . And loosen up the laces . Uh your case I would just remove the sole .

From old heads that still remember the first commercials to new sneaker heads just getting into the game. Putting this kind of tech into an already iconic shoe with an original colorway would have blown the minds of sneaker heads across the globe. The synthetic material of the entire upper isn't really comfortable either. But man, I do love how it looks when it glows. And the full length Zoom is absolutely amazing, but makes the shoe a little tight. Should have gone a half size up but I know for the 2020s.

Zoom is brilliant and the upper creases really fast but it makes the shoe look even better because if light hits the creases the are basically white while the rest of the shoes is purple.The upper gets soft from Time to time and most important they are just ridicioulus if its night or evening,reflective tee in combination with this shoes is just awesome.Best picture ever made at night I SWEAR a nice bonus is that you get asked 20 times a day how these shoes are caled because mostly nobody ever saw shoes like this,get yourself some! you won´t regrett it !

Got a pair. Mine were creased within minutes of walking around. The Zoom unit is very comfortable. Overall, I think any of my OG Jordan 1’s are more comfortable, due to the upper.

As you said, making the Air Jordan 1 perfect is so easy. Get the Bred, Royal, Chicago, and Black Toe colorway, and put the zoom strobel in it. I don’t know how Jordan Brand didn’t think of this and didn’t do it.

I have never had a Bred or Airship in the Bread ,but I want it. I really want to the OG materials and the original design specs. I really liked the AJ1 Fearless FlyEase as that's what I want to get still. I dont think you have to be into sneakers to get the Fearless Pack. I would love to get a OG AJ1 High with like a Sketch Pattern on the outer from Peter Moores OG Drawings like the Air Max 1 Tinker Hatfield Sketch to shelf. I would try a pair of the AJ 1 Zoom if I could find a pair in town.

My friend from school had the Fearless Zoom J’s. He let me try them on and they are the most comfortable pair of Jordans that I've put on my feet. I wish that they would release more colorways of the shoe but go back to the og model of the 1’s instead of trying to change anything up like they did they first and hopefully not last time they release this shoe.

But the material is weird, I guess they wanted that 3M to pop off so they sacrificed the quality materials we’re used to? BUT the shoes do look cool when the lights go out! I own a paire a paire of alphas from 2009 and they are amazing! I’m still rocking them and hooped in them quite some time and they did very well for my body type. I hope they release a new alphas soon.
This new material is retains the cold real well too.... could have used some fleece lining; shoes are cool though, happy I got a pair to creece up. I think I pinched a nerve in my left small toe jumping around in these though, zoom feels a bit too squishy for my comfort level.

I never owned aj1s and the zoom airs are my first pair of one's. And they are really comfy, and to be honest I don't really mind the creasing cause the 3m material looks so sick. It is really excessive though 😂😂 they creased in my first few steps, but they look fire to me. I'm definitely going to get more 1s though, I need to feel the difference in the upper.

Doesn’t Origins have icy soles? I think the Zoom model is sick. The bottoms needed to be icy to look cooler. The upper didnt bother me when I wore it. I’m sure JB will make a zoom model with an og colour and it’ll sell out. Jordan 1 Protro😂
the J1 fearless with the zoom is NOT sized the same. they did not calculate for the zoom in the shoe and it's tight. my normal size was unwearable. 1.5 sizes bigger.. still too tight. Agree on the materials. Feels thin and looks like it will crease. Still had to have the 3M fire.
What Jordan brand needs to do is to make the Jordan lines available for customization for a limited time at different times throughout the season since you're eliminating a lot of 3rd party retailers anyway so you'll care less about hype at some stores and make it all in house. And fix the damn bot situation already, we're all tired of not able to buy our favorite shoes when they drop.

this colorway is freakin' beautiful, change must happen, cuz there is so much happening in the world. we got no room to bask in nostalgia, while other's are innovating constantly. the leather material they used for the upper truly isnt the most comfortable, but it is a dope looking look at the future 🖖

I love the fact that they added the Zoom unit because like you said, as much as we love them, AJ1s just aren’t comfortable sneakers. But the material is weird, I guess they wanted that 3M to pop off so they sacrificed the quality materials we’re used to? BUT the shoes do look cool when the lights go out!
Maybe this was JB’s experiment, and they’re going to release standard color ways of the AJ1 Zoom in 2020.

I own a paire a paire of alphas from 2009 and they are amazing! I’m still rocking them and hooped in them quite some time and they did very well for my body type. I hope they release a new alphas soon.
This new material is retains the cold real well too.... could have used some fleece lining; shoes are cool though, happy I got a pair to creece up. I think I pinched a nerve in my left small toe jumping around in these though, zoom feels a bit too squishy for my comfort level.
Matthew Bryant They definitely have a hot spot at the bridge of your toes. The material they used on the upper is very unforgiving.
I love these shoes but took an L and can't find any close to me. I am a bit worried about crazy creasing though with the material they used.
Facts. The zoom fearless would be perfect if they fixed the upper. They just need some buttery leather on the upper and I’d only buy these for the rest of my life

I wholeheartedly agree. It's like Nike has this habit of giving us one thing we want while changing everything else we originally like about the shoe. No in between, and it's annoying. Almost like they deliberately want the shoe to fail. Just give us the damn OG shoe with zoom air. It would sell like pancakes and nobody would complain. Damn! lol

I never owned aj1s and the zoom airs are my first pair of one's. And they are really comfy, and to be honest I don't really mind the creasing cause the 3m material looks so sick. It is really excessive though 😂😂 they creased in my first few steps, but they look fire to me. I'm definitely going to get more 1s though, I need to feel the difference in the upper.

Doesn’t Origins have icy soles? I think the Zoom model is sick. The bottoms needed to be icy to look cooler. The upper didnt bother me when I wore it. I’m sure JB will make a zoom model with an og colour and it’ll sell out. Jordan 1 Protro😂

the J1 fearless with the zoom is NOT sized the same. they did not calculate for the zoom in the shoe and it's tight. my normal size was unwearable. 1.5 sizes bigger.. still too tight. Agree on the materials. Feels thin and looks like it will crease. Still had to have the 3M fire.
Add zoom to the 1. Period...leave everything alone with zoom in it and leave the price at 120 you'll have them flying off the shelves.
What Jordan brand needs to do is to make the Jordan lines available for customization for a limited time at different times throughout the season since you're eliminating a lot of 3rd party retailers anyway so you'll care less about hype at some stores and make it all in house. And fix the damn bot situation already, we're all tired of not able to buy our favorite shoes when they drop.
Jordan Brand wins every year. I buy about 100 pairs a year and 90 of them are Nike. I have a hard time choosing my Jordan’s but it’s very east for me to pick my Adidas.
