This was such a great time 50's music and I still remember Fats always being on the charts with so many great songs, love the saxophone and the piano in his music
If it makes anyone feel better, whenever someone tells me bad news about something or other, I almost ALWAYS start singing this. It happens more often than you'd think. I've known this my whole life, and will live forever I'm also only 32
My father loved to sing Fats Domino songs. At the time I thought he was too old to sing rock and roll; but I sang along with him. He was a great man, and I often voted for him for president (Write in ) instead of those running on the ballot. He's gone now and I miss him greatly; no one could have had a better father.
I am 77 now, and still like to listen to the songs Fats Doimino performed. He was a very good singer, and his songs are still good to listen and to enjoy.
One of those Classic Rock and Roll tunes I used to hear as a teenager. The lyrics are good and the rythm is catchy. A very nice tune to hear and enjoy and to remember of those times. I was nine when it was released.
I was born in 1989 so I didn't know much about this old time music. I worked at a nursing home a few years ago where they played lots of old time music. I got the chance to hear a lot of these 1940-1960's songs !!! Man....these songs were amazing !!! I woke up this morning with this song in my head !!! 2/4/2022 LOVE YOU FATS DOMINO !!!
Well soon I will be 82 years old and I Danced to Fats Like and Tina all of the fabulous rock and roll The twist and I love him Love it all Saw a live performance of Little Richard about 10 years ago at the Del Mar Fair Amazing

My pappy and my granny (my granny who sadly passed away) they used to dance and sing His songs together and I listen to these songs in memory of my granny. My pappy breaks down in tears when he hears Fats songs, bc it reminds him of his wife. I will always keep fats songs close to my heart.
I sure do miss the 70s, 80s and 90s. The music today is not even the same. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song?
I GREW UP LISTENING TO FATS DOMINO SINCE I WAS 4 YEARS OLD USED TO ROCK MY SELF TO SLEEP LISTENING TO HIM I WORE THE ALBUM OUT NOW I AM 39 AND STILL LOVE FATS DOMINO.
It's a good song if you ask me personally. Also, this song came on satellite radio as well. I believe it came on the 50's radio station. I'd listen to it
Nice song that was played so frequently when I was a teenager. It was not that new then but since it was a good song I used to hear it frequently. I liked the lyrics which were simple but direct and the voice of the singer backed by talented musicians.
Linda canción que me trae tantos recuerdos de me tardía niñez y principios de mi adolescencia. "no es una vergüenza". La voz de Fats Domino es excelente y uno siente que realmente siente lo que canta.
Just bought an ‘83 Chevy and found a cassette in the glove box. Home made with a mix of songs. And this one was on there along with Blueberry Hill. Great tunes to cruise to!
If you ask me Fats doesn't get the credit he deserves in the creation of rock and roll.My list includes Fats, little Richard, Elvis and Chuck Berry. All these men are the architects of rock and roll...
Sister Rosetta Tharpe was the true architect. She came before all of those men. Do a search of her on youtube. Elvis was more an architect in Rockabilly for my money.
George Bailey A large portion of Elvis' hits were straight up stolen from black artists. Hate to ruin his image for you but if you do a little research you'll see that this wasn't as rare as we'd like to think. Elvis' climb was on the backs of quite a few black artists.
Elvis didn’t steal anything. Big Mama Thornton recorded “Hound Dog” in 1953, then in 1956 Elvis done his version. Guess who wrote that song and made money based on every record sold? Two Jews called Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Jailhouse rock? Wrote by the same guys. Elvis copied a style of music, music that no one would have bought if a white guy wasn’t singing it. Many radio stations would not play black musicians and many concert venues would not book black musicians. Blacks should be glad that Elvis introduced black music to white people. Record sales for black artists skyrocketed after Elvis.
He was not only a great singer but was also very personable. I once wrote him and received a nice letter in return. R. I. P. Antoine. You gave us great memories that will remain for many years.
One of my favorite songs for such a long time really. Fats Domino sang with a cool style that was so nice to hear and still is. Although over sixty years have gone by since it was released it is still a great song to hear and enjoy.
Fats Domino a legend and a masterpiece of fame..Rock n roll and blue's ..beautiful music and wonderful band..I grew up listening to this kind of music..Miss all these legends..this is called Music
This is another song I used to hear in my early teens and late childhood. I like the way Fats Domino sang with clearly pronounced and meaningful lyrics. And it brings to me so many happy memories of those times. Beautiful.
I owe this man a mountain of gratitude - it was he who in the early '80s when i came across his rendition of Blueberry Hill awakened my soul and opened my heart to the the innumerable incredibly talented and gifted Black singers who are emblazoned in a constellation of beautiful cultural legacy not only across our land but the entire world.
My childhood friend....one day was back talking his Mother....she threw a bottle of nail polish and it bounced off the wall. Well,Mike without missing a beat did a Ric Flair like strut...as he said "Ain't that a shame"... lol ..he got his arse whupped....Rip old buddy
***** If you like Ed, fair enough. Personally I thick there are rich streams of far better music and find the vast majority of his output to be utter tripe.
What is a shame, is that modern music is awful, I can only imagine being a teenager and listening to this on the radio. proper tunes, under 3 minutes no filler - perfect!
Check out 2:04. The drummer hits an extra thump on the bass drum, in error. This was never corrected on the master and has stayed the same since 1955. I like it.
Fats Domino or Antoine Domino, was one of those Great Rock and Roll singers, and I still like to listen him sing so many years later. He had a special charisma and real talent, This old song I first listened when I was nine on the radio, is still one of my favorites.
Fats Domino was the greatest piano player there was loved always music he probably has everybody dancing in heaven right now especially my brother he was his number one fan

My childhood friend....one day was back talking his Mother....she threw a bottle of nail polish and it bounced off the wall. Well,Mike without missing a beat did a Ric Flair like strut...as he said "Ain't that a shame"... lol ..he got his arse whupped....Rip old buddy
I agree with soda boy- how can 41 people NOT like this?!
+Bob Moslow The same way thousands of people buy a Ed Sheeran CD!
***** If you like Ed, fair enough. Personally I thick there are rich streams of far better music and find the vast majority of his output to be utter tripe.
+Joe Siris Disagree, IMO Fats did it best, but we all can have our opinions.
+Bob Moslow LIKE THIS
Dont worry brother, you will have a friend in heaven.
RIP Legend 😢... Sing with the angels,
I'm 37 years old and I can appreciate Fats Domino. I have for a number of years now.
I wish I were born that era I enjoyed the music you are so classy ❤️🌹
Hello Maryam, how are you doing today?
Actually got here from my home highschool football games we always had this playing in between the downs..... such a great song
What is a shame, is that modern music is awful, I can only imagine being a teenager and listening to this on the radio. proper tunes, under 3 minutes no filler - perfect!
I feel the same
@Samuel Rent Same here
boomer alert
He's not wrong, mate. Music used to be good up until 2010 or so
No this is music
listening to this gem in quarantine ....Ain't That A Shame👍
Check out 2:04. The drummer hits an extra thump on the bass drum, in error. This was never corrected on the master and has stayed the same since 1955. I like it.
R.I.P and thank you for those great songs and memories...
my mom would listen to this while cleaning the house and alla of sudden I thought of his name this is on my repeat
Fats Domino or Antoine Domino, was one of those Great Rock and Roll singers, and I still like to listen him sing so many years later. He had a special charisma and real talent, This old song I first listened when I was nine on the radio, is still one of my favorites.
