Nixon saved Israel with his arms shipments during the Yom Kippor War in 1973. He was the first US President to visit Israel. Despite this, American Jews protested him with Watergate signs during this visit, and of all the Middle East nations he toured during this trip, Israel, Nixon said, was the most subdued.

Of course Nixon had deep flaws, but he was very knowledgeable about foreign affairs. Subsequent presidents, including Clinton, sought out his advice on tough international issues.
We need President Nixon right now! He had a knack for finding solutions to foreign problems. Send him to the Middle East and allow him to work his magic.
