The first three fast and furious movies are like the holy trinity of greatest car movies ever. The movies have continued to get bigger and better as far as production quality but it seems to me like they stopped caring as much about the cars. Starting with the fourth one they weren't really doing the wild and iconic vinyl looks that gave all the cars from the first three movies legend status.
I'd still count the fourth movie as the last of the great Fast and Furious movies. Even without the vinyls the fourth movie still had some pretty nice cars and possibly the last great race of the series. Brian's R34 in F&F was pretty damn clean, as well as Dom's Chevelle. It's like Brian said in the movie: "A lot has changed."
Yeah Fast and Furious 2009 still has that old school flavor before all the heist movies that came later. Small crew, street race sequences, dealings in the criminal underworld, dancing girls, its all there, just more matured. Fast 5 is when they turned into a heist franchise.

I'm so glad this exists. I get goosebumps and my eyes get teary at the same time. It's clear so much effort and passion went into these scenes that weren't even in the actual movie but an extra that many people probably didn't see. By the way, there was a mobile game in the 2000s loosely based on this prelude. It was pretty cool. It was called Fast and Furious: Fugitive.

It’s a Mitsubishi Gto (3000gt) not a stealth. You can easily tell by the back headlights of the car since they are different. Even if Wikipedia said it was a stealth, they are wrong it’s a gto. Look up Mitsubishi gto back, then the stealth back. You will see the difference.
I'm sure its a lap belt that they've got in them old Dodge Chargers, not a shoulder belt. Also, they may have not been a seat belts as the car was from the 70s and wernt mandatory back then

Yeah he did and if you watch Craig Liebermans channel (he was the flagger at the Race Wars in the original as well as the owner of Brian’s Supra and Vince’s Maxima) originally they had wanted to use a 3000 GT VR4 as Brian’s car but as it was harder to shoot scenes inside as it was a hardtop and they were overall more expensive they decided to scrap the idea, I think it was Rob Cohen who noticed Craig rolling in his Supra and suggested the idea as the targa top made it perfect to shoot scenes in and non turbo Supras were easier to find and more affordable so as to buy multiple of they instead went with it.
Sad how greedy idiots ruined this franchise that had so much potential. Imagine how big this underground car scene would be today if they just stuck with the actual car culture instead of turning it into mission impossible..

As for the M3 GTR, yeah it was confirmed to have been heavily inspired by Brian’s skyline, when you think about it, they both have similar interiors and exterior styling. It also meets a similar fate just like it’s Japanese counterpart, with both cars suffering after a police pursuit
I love the Fast and Furious films and also I love that that the 2 Fast 2 Furious movie had that prologue show how Brian leave LA and head to Miami that leads into the events of part 2 I mean that's a pretty good idea also I really wish I see the short film where letty found Dom and that pretty much lead up to the events of Fast and Furious 8 movie collection set Hobbs and Shaw and number 9.

I love the Fast and Furious films and also I love that that the 2 Fast 2 Furious movie had that prologue show how Brian leave LA and head to Miami that leads into the events of part 2 I mean that's a pretty good idea also I really wish I see the short film where letty found Dom and that pretty much lead up to the events of Fast and Furious 8 movie collection set Hobbs and Shaw and number 9.
