Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 лип 2024
- Hello! In this video I'll explain to you how to setup Photoshop for a Digital Painting, or how I do it to my PS, so the work goes smoother. I tried to cover the basics in the simplest manner possible, but still discuss all the stuff you might need if you just start your journey with Digital PAIN-ting!:D
I didn't cover the brushes in here, I want to make a separate video for creating and installing custom brushes, so wait for me to make it.
00:00 - Introduction
00:15 - Preferences
02:23 - New Document
03:28 - PPI for printing
05:13 - Keyboard Shortcuts
07:05 - Customizing UI
08:35 - sRGB vs CMYK

The amount of information you need before starting is lowkey scary, but thanks for making this video and making our lives easier
One week of doing some basic tutorials and you are good to go!:D
This is what I was looking for.
Finally, someone who explains everything one by one and don't go around things
assuming that people know by themselves.
Thanks a lot man
I might do this tho xD For like a basic stuff or something:D
Commenting for the algorithm bc this is the most helpful start up video ive seen
Im glad you liked it!:D
Also timestamps if you don't view whole description!xD

Bro this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Thank you! Very usefull, xpecially the first part.
This is what I needed when I started 😭 but thankfully I find you, thank you so much ^^
Nicely detailed, thank you
The last tip was actually very useful for me, thanks
thank you very much brother......our eyesight is important to artists like ourselves I knew this was the right video from the beginning
I'm very grateful for the video that really helped me. I always stress when drawing because it always breaks when zoomed in. 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you mate!
I LOVE YOUUUUUU
thanks very usefull
tnx dude
Great content again, man! I have got other question related to brushes. So, I have picked for myself around 10 brushes from different packs I've downloaded and want to make my own brush pack and have it as a file. I still can't find info about how this is done? It will be great if you can tell me this. Thank you again!
Right click on the screen, select all the brushes you want, in the same window in the top right corner there is a gear icon, click it, and export selected brushes, .abr file :)
Thanks
Thank you
Great video! Thank you. Well, I found the color wheel. But it doesn't have all the options as yours in the video. It doesn't show the split complimentary and all the other color harmonies (like in the small little circles above the main wheel in your video). It only shows the main wheel and the HSB regulator. What can I do?
It was a paid addon, now it no longer works xD PS has it's own built in color wheel that is much less capable of showing all the info xD
when i open "new document" there isnt a eleborate screen with multible presets just basically everything that is on the right at 2:23, it looks like im using a older version of PS even though im using the newest. Any help ?
Most likely in the top right corner you have the small "window" looking icon. In there you can choose a present, or make your own, by selecting what you need in "Windows" tab, and then saving it in the top right corner, previously mentioned icon.
can you please make a video on how to set kind of brushes for digital painting
You don't need anything specific to be honest. Its hard to tell what brushes are "best" since for some basic circle will rock, and for some ultra weird brushes will do the trick. Go to digitalbrushes.com and search for what you like!
@@TYPHONart thank u for guiding sir
I enjoyed the video, thank you I'm a beginner in Photoshop please can you help us with more Photoshop drawing and painting tutorials for beginners. Thank you
Gladly will do, I'm just extremely short on time right now, and streams are the only thing I can do atm :)
That was really helpfull-Thank you - the only thing i also would also like to know- where exactly can i find the keyboard shortcuts for making the brush bigger and smaller? i know its the bracket keys- but first they dont work, - at least not by default- and second i also have a german keyboard- so maybe thats a diffrence to. So where can i find them?
Ctrl + alt + shift + k should open a shortcut settings, or go to Edit - Keyboard Shortcuts on the bottom of the list :)
@@TYPHONart but whats the name for the funktion of making the brush bigger and smaller? 😅🙈
@@julianhartinger4449 Make sure you select Shortcuts for Tools, and it's almost at the bottom of the list :D
@@TYPHONart aaah - thank you- there i will find it- thank you very much ☺️
Do you also recommend setting color space aside from sRGB to ProPhoto?
Nah, you'd still need to convert it back to sRGB to post anything online xD
What those history and action things I see on UA-cam channels that do speedpaint like Shal E, could you do the same set up as he?
I dont really use actions, but chceck Piximperfect channel, he explains actions pretty flawlessly xD
@@TYPHONart because of this you got a new sub from me! ❤️
what about monitor settings? color accuracy in photoshop and saved jpeg file? is there any things to do? proof colors?
Yooo - to be honest with more "gaming" monitors you don't really have to worry about it that much. If it does look normal for you - it should be fine. Having to much of any color will feel off. Check your artwork on phone (it will be much more saturated usually, especially on the reds), different screens if possible, and just see what you like best. Sometimes local printshops can lend you a calibrating device (like Spyder 3), but for example for laptop screens I found they are quite useless xD
For .jpg and .psd preview - colors will change juuuuuuust so slightly due to compression - I wouldn't worry about it. Other programs like Windows Image Viewer or however it's called, or Irfan View can have different settings to preview the images - and it will result in different contrasts. So long story short - don't worry about it. If it looks fine in PS, it is "ok" :D
You can start worrying about the screen settings when you are going to print massive amounts of stuff, but then usually the printshop will send you their specs to calibrate your screen to their machines.
May i also ask sir if you can recommend a laptop for photoshop that are ranging from $600 to $800?
I'm sorry, I have not seen your comment:P For laptop I was always using Acer Aspire 7, 16gb RAM, it never failed me:D
You can enable translation for this video . Thank you !
I think it happens automatically after some time xD I allowed users to translate it tho, if thats what you meant!:D
how do you have a color wheel next to the canvas?
There is a setting for the color wheel build in PS. View - Color - top right corner with ||| but horizontal, and there is a color wheel option :D
hi ! can i still use photoshop for my touchscreen laptop?
I think yeah :)
if i have a HDD for scratch disks , will photoshop lag?
Not really, but it's definitely worth getting SSD, and installing it on SSD. Nowadays 500gb SSD is not really that expensive, and it will definitely speed up everything. + It's less prone to failure than HDD :D
1. are you using a digital Tablet ? 2. how do you make photoshop Layer Rotate i see you did it at the end of this tut. ? Thank You Much. great tips.
Yup, Wacom Intuos M. With [R] button, you need to have graphic procesor box checked in prererences->performance->advanced :D
@@TYPHONart Thank You .keep up the great work. Will stay posted.
When I pick color from reference images (from color picker)and put on canvas it does not look similar to my reference why ?
Most likely on top you have selected the option of "point sample", instead of "5x5 sample" :)
@@TYPHONart ohhhh..
What is "scrubism" at 1:34?
It was supposed to be scrub zoom I believe xD
please do a how to download photoshop for digital art, i am very confused on doing that
Im not sure what do you mean xD If you want to use it legally - then you have to go to Adobe.com, choose the subscription that works for you, and well, the page will guide you :D
@@TYPHONart thank you very much!
What about 8 bit 16 bit and 32 bit colour mode ?
Don't worry about those, just go with the 8 bit. If you don't have the most high end monitor you can have, you wont be able to display those properly :P
@@TYPHONart thank you.
Thanksssssskskskskssks
Your welcome!:D
are you Polish?
Yup!:D
wtf happened to your mic quality as the video went on....
The ambient music in the background is so triggering.
