i used to practice my own combos on a heavy bag every day and tried them during sparing and worked out which ones were practical and used in specific situations ... just experiment untill you find your own style
0:40 such beautiful shadow boxing. I’m a beginner starting at home before I get a real kickboxing instructor. Hope to be able to shadow box like that soon haha
Hey man! I just turned 52, and in 2,5 hours my first ever kickboxing lesson starts. :D I've been watching a lot of your movies lately. I like the "fun" part of the sparring sessions. Hope it will be the same in the gym today. Thanks for the good vibes!
Starting to notice the similarities with learning another language. Like memorizing all the rules and patterns of another language is super hard, similar to memorizing 35 different striking combos, so it ends up being easier to just remember a few core ones and developing the instinct, like you said, to know how to mix it up. It's easier said than done but a lot more approachable than trying to just keep all the different combos in mind (especially when your mind goes blank in sparring)
I like these off-balancing kicks, they probably deal distress to your opponents, constantly interrupting their balance will probably redirect their concentration off of defense and just annoy the hell out of them
Wow, I think the general pattern is left body right body left right, or upper body (punch) lower body (kick) up down, with good flow and body weight balance.
I have a whole system i implement to create combos. The only people who cant create combos are people who copy others fighting styles. Using combos that everyone else uses makes you predictable and easy to beat.
30 ideas without even a looping punch, knee or elbow just shows the endless complexity of striking
💪💪💪
Love the creativity!
Thanks man!!!
Hey Jeff just wanted to say you've helped me improve so much as a martial artist and your always giving awesome tips so keep it up!
im glad to hear man! thanks :)

Hey, jeff chan, could you make a video where you list your top (how many you want) angle change combos? I would really appreciate it 🙏
I gotta say Jeff does a great job of giving pressure without hammering his partner senseless.

There's a near-infinite number of combos that can be thrown, great video, OS!
💪🙏
I think that the number of combos you practice regularly is a big part of why you're that good
Thank you!

Beautufel combinaison 👍👍👍
:)
My fave combo is an aerial 360° back kick into round kick, followed by a jumping uppercut
💪💪
These are great man I gotta drill these can’t lie
💪💪
Hey Jeff you recommend me to go mma or kickboxing or anyone can recommend for self defense
muay thai
@amad2584 I asked mma or kickboxing
@amad2584 not muay thai
Start with one art first then get into MMA but yes all are good for self defense!
