If I could give you a thumbs up every time I watch this video, you would have had 5 more !!! This is the best damm video related to this Campmor dome tents. Well done Sir!!!
Hi Jacques, thanks very much... currently working on another setup, fold-up and updated tips videos for the Campmor Combo Senior Extension setup - like the one in this video 👉 ua-cam.com/video/Guc6_CtOzo0/v-deo.html
Super happy to hear others are finding the videos useful 😁😁😎
There are a few more camp related videos I have made... just check the videos description for the links (or browse my channel).
Also check out this if you are keen www.burtsway.co.za/ It's a product we manufacture and sell.
Leaving the 4 corner pegs in and the bottom of the door unzipped is genius!
Yeah, it works pretty well for pulling the tent nice and flat while folding 😁😎
Great video
Thanks very much.
A great way to fold the tent, very neat. I will adopt your method, thank you, much appreciated. Chris from UK.
Hi Chris, it’s a pleasure and thanks very much for your comment.
Nice mate nice
Hi Louis, thanks very much.
Super helpful
Glad it helped, thanks very much 😁😁
@@GrantBurtonjust a quick one.any idea where I can get the tent beg similar to yours.mine just takes to much space.would appreciate it.
@@tebogomotsamai3501 Hi Tebogo, The tent bag in the video comes with the tent when you purchase it. I think Outdoor Warehouse also sell a brand of bag called Camp Cover. Might also be worth checking out their website www.campcover.co.za to see if anything suits your needs (no affiliation to them, we have just used some of their covers for other stuff).
I'm new to camping. Thank you for your video!
It's a pleasure, I'm sure you'll have some fun times ahead. There are a few more camp videos on the channel, not sure if you have come across them yet? ua-cam.com/video/LjL3SEGVlsA/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/Guc6_CtOzo0/v-deo.html and a few more.
Great video, thanks so much for sharing 🙂
Thanks very much. There are a couple other camping videos, not sure if you came across them?
I suggest you use your poles as a guide for the length of the actual tent. Fold the tent the same length as the poles. Then place the poles and roll the tent with the poles inside. This will help push the air out too.
Hi Noel, thanks for the comment. I'm not sure thats a good idea with this type of tent (or any type of tent for that matter). I think its always best to store the poles in a separate bag, then with the smaller nylon type tents, possibly put the 'poles bag' into the same bag as the tent.
With this type of canvass tent, the poles are stored separately from the canvass and shouldn't be wrapped up in the canvass because of the type and design of steel poles this tent uses. On long and bumpy trips, the sharp corners and pointy bits on each pole can end up chafing holes in the canvass over time. Always best to pack stiff / hard / sharp objects away from softer canvass / tarps / etc.
Thank you, have not camped, going to start soon, great videos
Hi Sagie, thanks very much.
Thank you. Very helpful
It’s a pleasure 👍😁
Thank you
Hi Lorraine, It’s a pleasure.
its useful
Thanks 😊
I am going camping in a canvas dome tent this December. You just saved me a lot of frustration with packing the tent away. Great video!!
Hi Raymond, thanks very much. How long are you going camping for?
Also, you may want to check out this video ua-cam.com/video/Guc6_CtOzo0/v-deo.html
It’s a fairly long video but covers a lot of info. Hope it helps (campaign for three and a half weeks in a dome tent)
@@GrantBurton That was the first video I watched on your channel. Loved it!! I also have one of those blow up mattress stretcher things. I watched your video how you made it a queen size bed. Fantastic idea. Only camping for 4 nights, but really looking forward to it.
@@MrStingraygus Awesome, you must have a good one. It's only a double size bed but still big though. Just had a new mattress made of memory foam so will give that a go. I say 'made' but it's just the foam at the moment (75mm 16 weight and 25mm 12 weight)... haven't decided on a covering for it yet. Thinking of going with a more stretchable cotton or something similar... thick rip stop doesn't stretch much so makes bed very firm.
Have you seen these ua-cam.com/video/CYUJe6GRr-s/v-deo.html (shameless plug 😂 haha)
Do you also have a Campmor tent or is it Tentco?
I would prefir a bag twice the size
Hi Malcolm, on some occasions a larger bag might be easier (like for a weekend away where not much stuff is going with) but most of the time, packing space is at a premium so folding the tent as small as possible is beneficial. Thanks for the comment.
The idiot in me.... I get a bigger bag.... usually a side entry army balsak 😅😅😅😅
Wanna know how to fold up a 5x5 army tent ? There's a neat trick that I learnt courtesy of Maggie Malan back in 7SAI 1974... Flip the tent over before you make the last fold....seriously, you get the whole roof into 3 ammobox bag 😅
I suppose a bigger bag would be easier (probably for most people) but for us, packing space is a concern so we have to fold it up as small as possible. Add to that is another kitchen and veranda tent that also needs to be folded and stored... I still need to make a video on how to fold that up.
Thanks for the tip on flipping and folding, I'm sure some people might find that useful, especially for larger tents.
now add 2 toddlers, sugar and rain ;). thanks
Oh yeah, that makes things a little more tricky. Hopefully you were able to unpack the tent soon again and let it dry out.
@@GrantBurton stood pitched in my garage for three weeks hahahahha
@@michaelcrSA Guessing it was properly dry by the end of three weeks... haha 😂
