- In this video we install new central heating, hot and cold water distribution pipework in Buteline.
Buteline crimp fit plumbing system has lots of advantages over existing push fit and MLCP systems and we discuss them in this video.
We also alter an existing alkathene cold water main, re-pipe a Vaillant eco tec pro combi boiler and install new designer radiators.

Great video and love the quality of your work - one downside I see to these fittings is that they reduce the pipe bore quite considerably especially that barbed hose fitting, otherwise they would be perfect.

hi just warning you we fitted two of the philmac fittings last week the same as you had on the water main and one blow off flooding the house it says on the nut to use a wrench to tighten which we did but there rubbish and cost a big insurance claim

Any experience with it freezing up? Why not use the press jaws mate?
No not personally, but I've been informed about it. I think the jaws are over kill for Butline. Maybe the 28mm.
@@loving-plumbing fairs, I just been looking into it as I like the pre insulated idea and the frost protection, alot of US people saying it used to be used over there but after 10-15 years it breaks down, not sure it's the exact same pipe, hope not lol, think I'll give it a go on a job
Is the flow rate OK with that buteline? For the main flow and returns or can they do 22mm type of sizing for it?
Yea it's basically the same as any other plastic system I believe. That is 22mm on the flow and return , but they also do 28mm. Thanks
Not bad , but there’s a lot of issues, when it comes to a second floor installation inside a house , you got a Notching regulations, which is not very convenient with all that lagging inside a pipe work to drill a big holes trough a timber beam…. There wouldn’t be such a gap below, only plasterboard… I rather stick to a copper lifespan 50 years plus … could go over 100 depending how you treat your water mains and central chemicals.
My only issue with this is when the next guy comes along in a few years or if someone drills through a pipe, how do they fix it without ordering the fittings or having the tool?
True, but new products have to start somewhere.
