I've got an My19 2.0 coupe in the Caldera red. I love it. Very rare here in Australia. Future collectable. More comfy ride than a boxter, I can stretch out my legs all the way at 5'11" and plenty of punch with 400nm torque at just 1500 rpm. Best handling f-type you can buy and brakes are outstanding. Had it almost 3 yrs and only problem was a defect in one headlight and moisture. Replaced under warranty. Turns heads too everytime 👍
This car is very much a niche but no doubt it appeals to a certain clientele who are after the drive and looks of a modern British sports car without needing all the extra performance! Glad you enjoyed the video and glad your wife is very happy with her convertible!
@@stevenfreeman7798 I'm sure the engine being a 4 pot makes it less nose heavy but having an absurd looking car with a lackluster engine isn't a great combo
Wicked!! Omg so disappointed smh not enough people supporting this awesome content kmt anyway their loss. Keep up the excellent work g one of the best reviewers online by far welldone
It's still a relatively new car to speculate on that. I'd recommend checking out forums and seeing what other cars have had this engine and seeing the common issues
Beautiful car but why would u buy 2 litre to get smoked by a Peugeot if want a good looking sports car not for speed buy mx5 if want true sports car v6 and above
Have the awed type S v6.....and it sounds like a 1970's F1 car. This one doesn't sound great. I do find the brakes to be superb....not sure why you had spongy brakes.
The V6 is an amazing engine. For the first time in my life, I think the 6 pot is a better choice than the 8 pot in a vehicle. It sounds amazing and packs enough punch. There's not enough great sounding V6s out there compared to V8s. The brakes felt very disconnected and you had to anticipate when to slow down in it well ahead of time
Who gives a toss if its a 4-pot as long as it goes down the road well. There's all kinds of compromises in today's motoring including lack of steering feel, visibility and weight. Just enjoy what's on offer. I wish I could afford one. Hope that the business goes well!
Someone who wants a sports car no doubt wants to be cocooned into their car and have that driving experience. Personally, I do require a car that can do it all. Monaf drove like a madman. I genuinely had to hold on for life!
That's not a bad shout but the GR86 are quite slow for a 2.0l.4 cyl and the retail price is much less than a F Type but nonetheless they are sort of the same category so that's a very good shout!
@@CarNitty very different, but very smiliar. A lot less grunt with the Toyobaru lacking a turbo, but more of a hardcore "driving feel" car for trackdays, autocross or such. Very good review of the F-type from you, and a very likeable car indeed.
I agree with the track day element. The GR86 will no doubt feel lighter and more dynamic but I don't see anything else these two have in common apart from displacement, RWD element and the fact they're sports cars. Crazy how different they are beyond those traits
You can't really blame the person buying it, there's clearly a demand so it's the manufacturer that's agreeing to do it for profits. It's a way for jaguar to make the car more affordable and accessible which result in more sales

Glad to know your 3 year ownership experience. JLR doesn't have the best reputation but clearly, there are good ownership stories out there
Love it! I have a metallic grey P300... It is a joy to drive! You guys are ace! Subscribed immediately! Love from Sweden
Glad you liked the video and thanks for the subscribe and viewership!
Why would anyone buy this? Because I can.
Great daily driver.
If a car puts a smile on your face, then it's done what was required!
And front end weight.
Matters greatly in the corners
It does!
Great video! I bought one of these for my wife 2021, she's always wanted a sporty convertible this was perfect for her...

Very good review, really gives us a down to earth hands on insight to the car. Thank you
You're very welcome. Glad I was able to help
I could get a V6 for this money, albeit an older one, but the sound of the V6 is unbeatable and also much faster.
I agree. I wouldn't be in the market for the 2.0l either
That was hilarious. Good video though. Very informative.
Ideal where the tax rockets on cars over 2 litres e.g Italy
Intelligent analysis thank you.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
More reliable than the v6 or v8 and handles a little bit better

Really glad you enjoyed the review. I do appreciate the support and love ❤️
I have one in that colour and love it!!!
I must say, it's a striking colour. I don't think there's a better colour unless you want to be stealthed out
Reliability of this car? Does the engine have problems like its Diesel brother?
It's still a relatively new car to speculate on that. I'd recommend checking out forums and seeing what other cars have had this engine and seeing the common issues
Good competitor to this would be the 4 cylinder cayman
Definitely but let's not forget Porsche scrapped that and went back to the flat 6 whereas Jaguar scrapped the V6 😔
Beautiful car but why would u buy 2 litre to get smoked by a Peugeot if want a good looking sports car not for speed buy mx5 if want true sports car v6 and above
I wouldn't buy a 4 cylinder F-Type but I guess it's each to their own!
Nice car but the reliability would be something that would worry me
With any JLR car, I'd recommend having a warranty!

If an F-Pace's looks are what you really want the 2.0L 4 cylinder engine is within your budget, then go wild I say!
If there was ever a car that was a sheep in wolf's clothing...
It's still pretty fast on paper with 300bhp but it's hard to feel it when the car was clearly built for a V6 or V8
it sounds amazing what you talking about ??
The i4 really doesn't hold a candle next to it's V6 or V8 counterpart
My jaw dropped when you said it’s a 4 cylinder
It's crazy to believe you can get a car that looks like that with a small 2.0L petrol engine, doesn't it?
To small for me , loads of room in my r32 , funny seeing you hold on for your life :)
Someone who wants a sports car no doubt wants to be cocooned into their car and have that driving experience. Personally, I do require a car that can do it all.
Monaf drove like a madman. I genuinely had to hold on for life!
@@CarNitty That's why i have a weekend car , best of both worlds , other is on classic insurance and my supra has a lot more room. good vid though .
In europe u can get an a7 with a 1.8 and a 2.0 petrol
Really? Which generation are you referencing? The A7 first generation can be had in a 3.0L V6 TFSI or TDI in the UK as the smallest engine choice.
“As your doing the national speed limit”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Of course, plenty of national speed limit roads on country lanes
The most powerful F type per cylinder 😉
That's a very good way to put it technically 🤣
Think I would go more hatdcore, save a pile of cash, and get a GR86 instead.

They sold a lot of them
I'm sure they did. This car made owning a Jaguar sports car very attainable for many
What happend to england?!?🤦♂️
fast enough…..
This car is even more expensive or on the price of Porsche 918 .Ha ha ha ...
The British badge really makes it more premium than a car from arguably the most driver centric brand there is
@@CarNitty It's rubbish. SHOULD COST 50 PERCENT OF BMW 3 SERIES AND MECEDES C CLASS .WITH SIMILIAR HP I MEAN .
Girly car, all show and no go and suitable for the snowflakes that can't sleep at night over their turmoil of their "carbon footprint" of the V8
Haha harsh yet entertaining overview
Sounds terrible but I have the SVR so maybe that's why lol. But nice looking car but for that kind of money for a 4cy doesn't seem worth it.
The SVR sounds amazing. A supercharged V8 in this decade is a godsend of an engine!
Why do you guys care what other people think what car ur in lol....if your buying a car to fool someone...don't buy the car.
