- Welcome to another awesome video of me and my friends fishing Sydney Harbour. We catch an awesome mix of species in this episode, including Kingfish, Mack Tuna, Bonito, Tailor, Leatherjacket and even a stingray.
The yellowtail kingfish was caught on a Stradic 1000. The fight was very long and it was awesome landing it.
Thanks for watching my video, there will be many more to come, with hopefully more hookups on my end.
Meanwhile, follow my instagram @hoodlumhunter to keep up with my fishing.
Friends I fished with: @jamesclain_fishing , @trentos_7_ , @flickwithmick , @jasper.williams_ , @christians_fishing_aus , @_manavvirk_ .
"Out of respect and courtesy for others, I refrain from naming spots unless it's a very popular spot. I don't mind others mentioning the spot it in the comments and I often leave enough evidence for those that want to find the spot, to be able to work it out from the video." - Shroom (@nbdshroom).

Hey mate, the place where I fish is at a wharf and the water is about 2-4 metres deep, do you have any tips on targeting fish there? What lure me technique should I use?And also, would a vibe be good cuz of the deep water? Thanks
YEA THA FLATSTICK!
Yeah the flatstick, yewww!

hi mates, are u using lures or live bait? what is your lures?
Lures and dead bait in this video. The Kingfish was caught on a berkley powerbait minnow in casper clear.
Moonman Fishing Hey mate. What dead bait were you mainly using? And where can I get it from? Awesome video, I just subbed!
I just moved to Sydney, been casting lures all day yesterday from Blues Point Reserve.. only caught a small bonito. I'm glad I watched this. Gave me some hope. I was giving up. Was gonna find a new hobby. Making puzzles or something 😆😅👌
hey where abouts is this in the harbour?
Get onto google maps. The harbour bridge is clearly in the video. You will easily find the spot. Good luck 👍❤️
what time did you get out
I try to be on the water by first light.
Hi bro,can you give me a specific location?
Location is clearly in the thumbnail!
The kid in the red hoodie and earphones go to my school tf
Awesome video. I used to live around there, didn't think it could be so productive! Definitely going to throw a line in next time I'm around. Thought lavender bay would be dead, then see you pull a tuna out. Awesome video guys
At the right time of the year it's awesome! Some great pelagic fishing action. This definitely wasn't my most productive session there.
@@hoodlumhunter I usually run a ball sinker with swivel + long shank with peeled prawns. Tired of getting the same stuff every time haha usually bream, snapper, leatherjacket, some flatties and the odd octopus.
Really dope to see all this success with poppers and lures like that. 100% fishing there next time I'm there. I'm so mad I never knew it could be like this.
Is winter the best time there in your experience??
Nah during winter there is no Bonnie’s/frigate or Mack tuna in the harbour summer is definety the best and use a small hook unweighted half pilchard and you can catch Pelagius easily😊
Well done on your fish.
Robert trying to get out and catch fish
why would u release that king fish that's worth quite a bit of money that kingy
Ayy just randomly found ur Chanel
Need to throw some plastics around for some jews mate 👌🏻 nice vid
That's on the list. Can't wait to connect with some big silver slabs!
Hello Would u tell me a good place to fish in with prawns? im using the shimano rods this video is pretty nice what bait do you use live or pre-made
Hey mate. Any wharf with prawns is great. The key to your success will be how fresh your prawns are. Use a running sinker rig. Use 10lb fluorocarbon or less for your hook line and the smallest sinker possible. Tight Lines!
@@hoodlumhunter Cheers!
@@hoodlumhunter What main?
@@OhKnow379 pe0.8 or pe1. Pretty much 8lb and 10lb braids are the best all rounders.
Hey again is the maikuro any good and if it is what size u running📍🤩
Hey. The maikuro is awesome for the price. I was using the 6-8KG 7"3' model.
Awesome man. Big team and big kingfish. Good luck!
Appreciate it! Hopefully some more kings on the way.
How did you worked the lure you got the king on?
Bouncing on the bottom.
What rig and bait are you using mate?
For which fish?
Good too see u boys letting em go and treating the fish nice 👍
Such a beautiful fish, it deserved to go back.
@@hoodlumhunter ended up in fish market i saw him yesterday
T Jack I was at the fish market recently. Who did you see yesterday?
@@hoodlumhunter The king fish you released
Was that the Daiwa TD sol III on the Shimano Maikuro. Daiwa on a Shimano you just hate to see it.🤦😖 Looked like a great days worth of fishing though yewww. 🤙🤙
Haha I bought it on the day. It was my first time using it. The Maikuro and the Nasci on it is now sold.
The Sol 3 5000 is now on a TD Black Humphead. Can't wait to take the combo out for the first time.
@@hoodlumhunter That Daiwa set up should be pretty good can't wait to see it in the next video. 🤙
Denise Rowe Stay tuned it’s definitely getting a run this holiday 👌
What you caught the king on?
3inch Berkley Casper Clear Minnow, what my friend caught it on.

Thank you Joey. Hopefully we go fishing sometime soon.
hamoudy love your blogs cuz -thechard
Thanks BillChard.
No fishing allowed around lunar park
Louis Zhou No fishing allowed along the boardwalk, yes. I am aware, but I’ve chosen to take the risk and am fully aware of the consequences 👍
Great vid, don’t think you can fish off there anymore?
Max Sacco Correct, you are not supposed to fish off the Luna park boardwalk. However, now that it’s closed there aren’t anymore security guards patrolling. They only tell you to move on anyway 👍
Moonman Fishing yeah , I was in Lavender Bay on the weekend, I saw the spot to put the yak in , but the metered parking looks like a problem
hey mate where abouts did you go?
Hey mate. You can find the spot by just looking at the video. Nowhere secret 👍
Thanks mate! also try this spot in mosman off military rd got some really fat kingfish and yellowtails and some crabs
Good sesh legends :)
Thanks for the kind comment Mark. We are all trying hard to chase that Hoodlum!
can u catch flattys on the surface with a poppa?
Sure can if the water is shallow enough.
@@hoodlumhunter 3 metery
it was a great day
It was, hopefully more kingies next time.
@@hoodlumhunter Just need to do more popper and metal. That first hit was probably a timid king
Great video, just subbed
Thanks for the sub! Stay tuned for more!
Awesome. Can’t wait for the weekend.
A tip: you can watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Myles Edwin definitely, have been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :)
🔥
Thanks, appreciate it!
Hell yeah boys! love it!!!
Thanks bro!
👍👍👍
Thanks mate!
Love it keep it up mate❤️❤️ (looking to go to Sydney for a fish where should I go?)
Search up Pier 8 in Walsh bay. Pick anywhere along the pier. Cut up 1 pilchard into 5 cubes and toss them into the water directly at your feet. Just use a single hook with a swivel and put a pilchard cube on your hook. Drop your pilchard cube down the trail and let it sink down naturally. You will have the opportunity to catch several species using this method.
haha the td hyper baitcaster on spinning, i do the same
You sure my one was the baitcaster? Haha
@@hoodlumhunter yeah i was trippin, sorry mate
Awesome video, are you allowed to fish in those spots, because when i passed by a couple weeks ago it said no fishing.
Unfortunately you're not allowed to fish around that boardwalk. But when the amusement park is not open there are usually no security guards and it can be ok.
I saw u when you were pulling your kayak in at northbridge
Not me. Yet to fish there.
@@hoodlumhunter oh I thought I saw you at tunks
@@mako6637 Tunks or Northbridge? I was at Tunks yes.
Mad vid🙏🏿
Cheers Bro, it was awesome meeting you, well done on the kingy.
