Awesome video. I used to live around there, didn't think it could be so productive! Definitely going to throw a line in next time I'm around. Thought lavender bay would be dead, then see you pull a tuna out. Awesome video guys
@@hoodlumhunter I usually run a ball sinker with swivel + long shank with peeled prawns. Tired of getting the same stuff every time haha usually bream, snapper, leatherjacket, some flatties and the odd octopus. Really dope to see all this success with poppers and lures like that. 100% fishing there next time I'm there. I'm so mad I never knew it could be like this. Is winter the best time there in your experience??
Nah during winter there is no Bonnie’s/frigate or Mack tuna in the harbour summer is definety the best and use a small hook unweighted half pilchard and you can catch Pelagius easily😊
I just moved to Sydney, been casting lures all day yesterday from Blues Point Reserve.. only caught a small bonito. I'm glad I watched this. Gave me some hope. I was giving up. Was gonna find a new hobby. Making puzzles or something 😆😅👌
Hey mate, the place where I fish is at a wharf and the water is about 2-4 metres deep, do you have any tips on targeting fish there? What lure me technique should I use?And also, would a vibe be good cuz of the deep water? Thanks
Max Sacco Correct, you are not supposed to fish off the Luna park boardwalk. However, now that it’s closed there aren’t anymore security guards patrolling. They only tell you to move on anyway 👍
Was that the Daiwa TD sol III on the Shimano Maikuro. Daiwa on a Shimano you just hate to see it.🤦😖 Looked like a great days worth of fishing though yewww. 🤙🤙
Haha I bought it on the day. It was my first time using it. The Maikuro and the Nasci on it is now sold. The Sol 3 5000 is now on a TD Black Humphead. Can't wait to take the combo out for the first time.
Search up Pier 8 in Walsh bay. Pick anywhere along the pier. Cut up 1 pilchard into 5 cubes and toss them into the water directly at your feet. Just use a single hook with a swivel and put a pilchard cube on your hook. Drop your pilchard cube down the trail and let it sink down naturally. You will have the opportunity to catch several species using this method.
Unfortunately you're not allowed to fish around that boardwalk. But when the amusement park is not open there are usually no security guards and it can be ok.
This never gets old.
Well done on your fish.
Robert trying to get out and catch fish
What time did you guys catch the king at the ferry warf

At the right time of the year it's awesome! Some great pelagic fishing action. This definitely wasn't my most productive session there.

No fishing allowed around lunar park
Louis Zhou No fishing allowed along the boardwalk, yes. I am aware, but I’ve chosen to take the risk and am fully aware of the consequences 👍
I saw u when you were pulling your kayak in at northbridge
Not me. Yet to fish there.
