When I was a boy my family went to Las Vegas and we stayed at the Frontier Casino, that's where Siegfried and Roy were performing at the time. My dad was very ill and didn't have much longer to live. He and my mom planned three trips for the family Vegas, Disney and Hawaii. After I saw these guys in Vegas I wanted to go back just to see this totally amazing show again. When my parents asked my brother and I which hotel we wanted to stay at in Disney, we asked if we could go back to the Frontier just so we could see these guys perform again. It is a truly awesome memory of my dad just relaxing and enjoying these guys as much as my brother and I did. The light in my dads eyes was back if only for a few hours due to these guys. I don't know why I just shared that memory but I did!! LOL
Sal, in my youth (13 yo?) my Dad took me and the family to see them at the Frontier as well. Back in the day you tipped the seater to get you closer and closer to the stage, which my Dad did. We were right at the edge of the stage. What a show! We saw a matinee show, and we were told the only difference was that the dancers had their tops on.
They found each other and instantly knew they were soul mates, had that spark between them and all those years together bringing magic to everyone. Roy has now passed and I hope Siegfried will manage without him by his side and live out his days with the amazing memories they made for the world and also themselves. The effect of Roy's attack and stroke was huge enough on Siegfried and it was actually Roy that gave him strength. He must be hurting so much, What they had, the bond was something so special that many never find and can only wish for. RIP Roy Horn, condolences go to Siegfried, their families and friends. ❤🙏⭐
I got the chance to meet Siegfried and Roy both on Valentine's Day in 2007 when I worked at a local upscale restaurant at the time here in Vegas. Siegfried picked out the area they wanted to sit and it was in the open with everyone and not secluded, he enjoyed being part of the public and not like a typical celebrity that wants to be private, they both were gentlemen and I actually met Siegfried several more times including the last which was 2018 at the Secret Garden, we chatted for a few minutes about magicians that I worked for (I was a tiger handler and stagehand) since Siegfried was aware of my friends "The Fercos" that were in many ways similar to S&R's act, he asked me my experience working for magic and tigers, also if I was still doing anything involved with magic still. Overall, Siegfried was always talkative and appreciative of his fans and never looked down on anyone which made him a unique celebrity these days which there are few still around. RIP Siegfried & Roy

Without those performing animals the world would be unaware how important the survival of the wild ones is. You never thought that these creatures could do such amazing things if you never watched this.
