Spillways is hidden ways of passages used to transport water from big dams so it won't overflow. You know this enormous walls of cement that keeps million and millions tons of water. But here Tobias means the human spillways. We all keep anger, disappointments and our inner demons that we fight with inside of us every day but when it gets too much we need a way to let go of the pressure. The human spillways is our tears that comes from our eyes. Our eyes is the reflection of our soul.

I agree about Ghost's albums. Imo theyre albums get better & better each time. Prequelle & Impera are fantastic from start to finish, AND Tobias's vocals have only improved over the years!

This band might receive extra criticism from metal enthusiasts as they present themselves in attire reminiscent of black/death metal bands, but their sound leans more towards mainstream 80s poprock like Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams. If they opted for a conventional appearance and labeled themselves as a pop/rock band, they would likely have significantly fewer haters. Seeing them featured on the covers of major metal magazines can be quite surprising, given that their image doesn't align closely with their musical style. Nevertheless, Tobias expresses his fondness for the controversies and hate surrounding the band, asserting that all publicity is beneficial. It's worth noting that they have achieved tremendous success as one of Sweden's most popular rock bands, a testament to Tobias' remarkable achievements.
Metal has changed over the last 40 years. I wouldn't quite call Ghost a pop rock band. There's nothing pop about songs like Mummy Dust, Year Zero, or Cirice. Are they as heavy as say Venom or Merciful Fate? No, of course not. That isn't to say that there isn't dark undertones to Ghosts' music. Metal enthusiasts/elitists are like movie critics in so thinking that everything has to fall into a category, genre, or sub-genre in order to be classified.
