Some of you guys may be curious how or why I randomly have a 2020 R3 in the garage. That video will be coming out next week so it'll make a little more sense. Until then, just enjoy the sweet sweet sounds of pushing an R3 to its limit while hauling butt down a highway!
Hey Chase, honestly on the camera issue about switching to the Hero8. The only thing I noticed was better on the 8 was better dark shadows. Depending on what you did in the editing process, I say the 8 does not provide better quality video unless it is overcast outside. On a normal sunny day, I would stick to the 7. Besides if you're using final cut the shadows on videos can be easily fixed to not look too grainy. I hope this helps with your decision.
Dude y’all are in Atlanta I want too get a bike bad I ride Dirtbike’s in south Fulton I’ve wanted a r3 since they came out now the 2020 is here and I’m like damn
This is very impressive especially considering that Chase is a big boi. I'm 5'6 160 lbs and this is gonna be perfectly fast no need to go up to a 600 anytime soon
You guys should borrow 3 identical bikes from Mountain Motosport, and speak about them while riding to the spot. Example: R3, Cbr300 and Kawasaki ninja 300..
@@JohnDoe-ir2ft it's all about getting a different opinion. They could switch bikes while riding. But Brian, could speak about the differences on mechanical part. But they could also give points to the way it turns, body position, wind protection, how comfortable the bike is.
@@JohnDoe-ir2ft not bad I weigh 285 and my R3 got me up to 98mph. In rather decent time as well. But it kinda just taps out once it hit 100mph. I'd say it took 14-15 seconds to hit 100.
Hero 8 looks great. It was such a cool watching experience to see all three of your points of view. I like that you used the insta in the restaurant too. Great idea. I use one on my channel but so far only for riding. I never thought about how beneficial it would be in a situation like that to capture everything around without having to aim a camera all over the place in public and look like a goof. Keep the videos coming Chase. I love you guys.

Triumph Speed Triple RS PLEASE! It’s been a while man and the RS is one I intend to buy with my return. MAYBE change my mind to the smaller NEWER Street Triple 765?...doubt
Just uploaded a vid of me doing a top speed run on my R3! She did well, but definitely had a few MPH left in her! Guess that means I'll have to make a follow up top speed video soon 😈😈
Weight plays a big factor on these bikes. I have buddies that weigh 180+ and think my r3 is slow and can only reach about 105mph. I weigh 145lbs and can easily reach 115mph, and have a top speed of 119mph going downhill and fully tucked.
@ 4:17 shows just how fast traffic on 285 can be... 109 mph and he’s just going slightly faster than the flow. I’m guessing traffic is moving at the usual +85mph.
Adam I know. My wife and I visit USA a lot. Between us we’ve visited about 14 states now. We love USA and can see ourselves emigrating there at some point soon I hope but the motorcycle laws are the main downside for me. California have it sussed as it’s legal there but the drivers are very different to any other state. Lane splitting is safe and improves traffic flow for everyone. A country that legalises guns but doesn’t allow motorcycles to split lanes.
Adam yes we hear that a lot when we’re travelling and speaking to locals with regards to the amount of states we’ve been to. We’ve met some folk who haven’t even crossed a state line let alone flown anywhere. Yes I’d agree it would be dangerous if the rest of the population weren’t educated to expect bikes coming through. Driving tests are really tough in UK. Mirror signal manoeuvre is a necessary driving code for all traffic. As a biker you can spot the foreigners a long way back, it shows in their driving position and manoeuvres so we give them a wide birth. More and more roundabouts are in USA now. Do you have them in Alabama? I’ve been in a few near misses on small roundabouts in Naples Florida due to drivers not being educated how to manage a roundabout. Americans are so use to Stop junctions and you all take turns in order of who got their first. Roundabouts are excellent for traffic flow and when every body understands them there is nearly almost no need to stop your wheels from turning. On both occasions in Naples I was turning left and going around the roundabout anti clockwise. The car on the otherwise of the roundabout had stopped when he didn’t need to as nothing was coming from his left. Nothing was coming from my left so I went anyway but I could see the look on his face as he was annoyed I went when he got their first so he did exactly what I predicted he’d do.......pulled out on me. I nearly hit him. So your point of lane splitting in USA being dangerous is spot on. Roundabouts are also dangerous in USA as the majority don’t understand them. I have to adapt and accept state laws and I’m happy to do that. It’s the right and safest way of doing it. It’s a shame when people from outside UK drive in UK and don’t adapt to our laws. But if you’re ever over here on a bike please accept it’s safe to lane split.
no it doesn't. I have one. I weigh 180 and it only goes 100mph indicated on the probably wrong spedometer. I have an 07 but the 08-12 model has less power so it isn't that fast either.
I bet you filmed this on the day Trump was in Atlanta which would explain the cop blocking the interstate Edit: I posted this before you said that’s what happened
is that all there is in 300cc? 115 kph in 6th gear? I have a yamaha r15 (150cc) and I can push it upto 150 kph in 6th gear and still theres rpm left to push higher 150 kph.

The price of the small bikes really makes them almost better than the big bikes, they’re plenty powerful enough in my opinion, I’m trying to avoid tickets because I am a cdl driver
The R3 has more than enough for the streets. If you like your life, your skin, and your license there really is no need for a litre bike on the streets. As a 20+ year rider, the litre bike snobs tend to be ignorant and/or the type to risk their lives and others in traffic. If you live on the track then by all means get you a 200mph motorcycle. If you only ride on regular streets and highways, but make fun of 600cc and lower bike owners you should look at your own life and what your compensating for and fix yourself. At the end of the day all motorcycle enthusiasts should share a bond. Real motorcycle riders appreciate all bikes and all styles.
@@RoughRaiders13I don’t get why people have litre bikes and just totally rip 200mph on the highway. I’ve seen a lot of videos, just gives me chills hoping they don’t wipe out. I wanna get a bike, never rode in my life but that terrifies me. Obviously I’d get a r3 or equivalent.
