    Very informative video, well done. For the pie chart on the proportion of student types in high school, I feel like there is a lot more professional polymath that are good at everything.

      Stay tuned. That's a great idea for an upcoming video! I'll go into how exactly these different student types are broken down, and how to figure out what type of student you are!

    How do you set yourself apart if your school doesn’t offer many AP classes?

      I suggest taking courses you're interested in outside of your school. You can look into Coursera and edX. Also, do not worry too much as colleges look at a school's profile to see how many APs a school offers compared to how many APs you are taking from the APs offered.

      I also suggest, try to do something every summer. Do not waste a summer doing absolutely nothing. Try to take College classes at a local community college and apply to summer programs.

    I am still confused why stem scholars get a better boost in humanities havens than tech towns.

    • @theivyleagueexpress
      @theivyleagueexpress  2 роки тому +1

      That's a perfect topic for a next video! We'll break down why and how each of the different student types get the boosts they get from each of the different types of schools

    • @saadiftikhar2000
      @saadiftikhar2000 Рік тому +6

      Because in tech towns almost everyone applying is driven by the desire to study STEM in that university. Consequently most of them have a good STEM profile so they cannot admit everyone so have to give only a minor boost in odds of getting in for STEM scholars. On the other hand, in humanity haven less STEM scholars apply so they give boost to them

    Thoughts on professional polymath applying to Princeton?

  • @user-wm1cm1nc3o

    Thoughts no not doing a highschool sport but still trying to be a pro polymath?

    • @theivyleagueexpress
      @theivyleagueexpress  2 роки тому +1

      It would be difficult to pull that off effectively as the hallmark of the Pro-Polymath is that they combine all student categories (athletes, leaders, and academics) into the same student. It's likely then, a college would consider you one of the other archetypes of students

      "Trust me man". Your comment is one out of the two comments he hasn't replied to in the whole comment section, probably because he doesn't really have a source. However, his insights are pretty useful and reasonable, and a numerical estimation of certain ideas like how much your chances are boosted by applying to certain schools as a type of student is okay.
