SPRK - Modular Improv 060 - Techno - LXR Erica Synths drum session

- The Erica Synths LXR-02 replaced my TR-8S / RD9 for the moment.
There are a few bugs to solve in software,
but nothing that keeps me away to enjoy the creation of complex drum sounds.
Roland can learn something from the LXR about filters and drive modes. It's good!

Love this! I swapped out the LXR for a Queen of Pentacles and I miss the depth of sound design possible in the LXR but love the hands on of the QoP. They've just dropped the 1.5 update for the LXR so might have to revisit... thanx for the sounds
Whoa, that's good news. I was using their beta 1.5. New features are added I read. Thx for the heads-up!
I love the LXR-02 a lot, too. The ability to play so much non-909/808 is just a great change imo. However, I use it together with a BSP and feel that the jammability isn't on par with a dedicated drum machine (Maybe that's better with the ES Drum Sequencer?). You have to prepare your stuff beforehand with the LXR-02. At least that's my impression so far.
Also: Awesome jam!
Indeed, it's a different breed. A dedicated 'single' voice drum machine like a RD9 doesn't need the voice preparation the LXR (and others) have. With the modular version also the sequencing and modulation part needs attention. Each sequencer has their pro's. ES has a good one for sure. Check out @thismeanswarbasse for his ES combo.
Let me know if you post a LXR session.
I get inspired by looking at others play.
Enjoyed this a lot! Just wish you had a better camera so I could spy out your gear better! :D
Also - is that the LXR module at the bottom right of your rack? How are you digging it?
I appreciate your feedback, and follow your channel as well.
Finally I have now two full-HD camera's of the same type and ordered a new desk to have access and present my gear in much better way. That will take a few weeks.
By then I can use some feedback on the visuals again :)
Yes indeed.
It's my first attempt to disconnect from my traditional TR8S and RD9 play.
I like the LXR for my purpose, but as any module, it totally depends what you're after.
Nothing is perfect, there are some software quirks that need to be solved.
If you have the room in your case, there are other modules that have more direct control.
@@sprk Looking forward to it! And I should really do the same! :D
