His lack of acknowledgement of the guy with the camera always stood out to me too. Like, he doesn't really talk to the guy because he's only one guy. The character wants to shout to as many people as possible that his weans have been turned against him, while he looks for some sort of help. What use is some random cunt in the street with a camera phone going to be able to do to help, so the character has no interest in engaging with him. At least that's how it seemed to me. Love this sketch.

Limmy does an amazing job at imitating different kinds Scottish people you'd see that are generic and unique at the same time, he makes it so believable, the lack of acknowledgment towards the camera man with just that uninterested and faint "aye", then he just continues saying what he was saying before, he really captures other people's personalities and really makes it believable that he's on the dole. What a man.

In my mind there was police called to the house about 6 months ago for a domestic as a result Limmy spent a weekend in jail. As usual in these cases it was a bank holiday Monday so he never appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court until Tuesday afternoon. Since then he has been back home with the promise that he would stop his binge drinking and be a better father. This lasted about a month before, you guessed it, he came home drunk and this was the final straw for his wife, she herself being no stranger to drunken misdemeanour. Limmy promised that he would see his kids every week since he moved back in with his mother but his visits have been patchy and more than once has he turned up back at the house drunk and uninvited after the pubs have shut. The 'turning the weans against us' is really Limmy's denial of his own children seeing him for the drunken arsehole that he really is. Repeat this sad little tale 1000 times. @@FaridShahidinejad The humour is dark as in the situation is so depressing it's funny. As for how common, it wouldn't be unusual to see a scene like this in a council estate in Scotland.
In my mind there was police called to the house about 6 months ago for a domestic as a result Limmy spent a weekend in jail. As usual in these cases it was a bank holiday Monday so he never appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court until Tuesday afternoon. Since then he has been back home with the promise that he would stop his binge drinking and be a better father. This lasted about a month before, you guessed it, he came home drunk and this was the final straw for his wife, she herself being no stranger to drunken misdemeanour. Limmy promised that he would see his kids every week since he moved back in with his mother but his visits have been patchy and more than once has he turned up back at the house drunk and uninvited after the pubs have shut. The 'turning the weans against us' is really Limmy's denial of his own children seeing him for the drunken arsehole that he really is. Repeat this sad little tale 1000 times.
